CHAPTER 33: Cupcakes and Posters

"CUPCAKES!" Shouts Ivan. "Cupcakes, everyone! Bagong luto, mainit pa! In every flavor you can imagine! Toppings are up to you guys as well!"

Napalingon lahat halos ng nasa loob ng cafeteria nang biglang pumasok ang Croc boys, wearing their jerseys and carrying box-loads of freshly bakes cupcakes in every color. Agad nagtayuan ang mga tao at nagkumpulan sa paligid nila.

Of course, it's not the cupcakes. It's the boys.

Halos maglaway ang mga babaeng estudyante sa nakikita-- ang Varsity team, naka Jersey Jackets pero walang top na soot, revealing their muscular busts. Hindi naman sa pagyayabang, but there are indeed some pretty hot boys in the basketball team.

"How much!? I'd buy a box for a kiss!" sigaw ng isang malandi, sabay halakhak kasama ang grupo ng mga freshies sa likuran niya.

"Actually," captain steps up and speaks. "... pag bumili ka ng isang box, yakap lang ang maibibigay sayo. Two boxes for a kiss. With your chosen Croc, of course."

Natahimik ang audience.

"TWO BOXES FOR ME!"

"ME FIRST!"

"MAGKANO, PAHINGI NG APAT!"

It wasn't long before the cafeteria looked like a rally. Boxes costs 250 each, so magkano sa tingin nyo ang kikitain nila? Tiba tiba syempre.

And all the women had lined up in front of Prince, Syl ...

... and SPHS' biggest heartthrob ...

... Oliver.

"Akala naman nila kung sino silang pagka-gwapu-gwapo. Hmph!" Nery sneered at the sight of them. Nakaupo siya sa pinaka-dulong mesa, kasama ang apat pa niyang mga ka-council. This was supposed to be a break, pero lalo lang siyang nase-stress sa nakikita. Kahit pa kumakain. "At tignan mo naman tong mga babae. GRABE! Kala mo mauubusan!"

"Malamang nga, Pres, maubusan sila ng cupcakes." sabi ni Vice. "Look-- there are only 3 trays left."

"Marami pa yan sa baba. Inutusan ko na ang Sergeants mag unload ng truck. Andami ko kayang in-order." sabay subo sa dumpling na nasa mangkok niya.

The Treasurer seemed to be quite confused. "So, jan mo ginastos yung quarter ng funds na kinuha mo sakin? Para saan ba yan?"

"Absent ka kasi sa meeting kahapon," one PRO chuckles. "Yan yung fund raising na napag usapan ni Pres at ng Croc Captain para sa Christmas Ball. Oliver Espino promised to help us, so, yan."

"Wow! Good thing humingi ka ng tulong sa boyfriend mo President!" Treasurer exclaims.

"HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND!!!" Napatayo si Nery sa upuan.
