Sometimes you have to tell little white lies to get what you want in life, I mean as long as you're not hurting people in the long run it's okay right?

Okay maybe not but regardless I couldn't stand Ashton and Molly trying to kill each other, I always knew they didn't get on from the first day at school when Mol decided it would be a good idea to shove a drumstick up Ashton's ass. Yes exotic I know but Ash was not happy to say the least.

In fact they ended up in an hour detention together so god knows how that went down.

I was cut out of my thoughts by the buzzing of my phone. For the past few months now, it was almost predictable what would be on the other side of the screen every time my phone buzzed, but this time my heart rate did not double, relieved when I saw the name on the screen wasn't Ecstacyrush.

Received: Ashton (6:43)

I'm coming for the food, not some alliance with a ginger.

Sent: Ashton (6:43)

Her hair is quite clearly not ginger you fag, its medium auburn.

In reality, Molly's hair used to be a browny gingery colour but now it had just faded to a normal brown, but me along with everyone else didn't hesitate to tease her about the fact she used to have ginger hair.

How gingerist!

I had already told Ashton that Molly was going to be there and even though at one point he was certain to saying no, he suddenly had a change of heart and was coming.

I don't think Mol would have been that annoyed if she found out Ashton was going to be here but I just thought I'd play it safe and let her be oblivious.

I hadn't spoken to Luke since this morning which to be honest was probably for the better because if we kept going around carelessly, people would catch on to what was going on between us. Its not that I didn't want anyone knowing about me and Luke, it was more the fact we hadn't made it official therefore it shouldn't be official to anyone else.

Bzz.

I jolt quickly, my buzzer scaring the living shit out of me and stand up from the dining table to buzz in whoever was there.

I press the button on the buzzer to allow them access and walk back to the kitchen where the pasta was almost bubbling over the saucepan.

I turn off the hob and drain the pasta and stir the bolognaise sauce whilst waiting for the pasta to finish draining. I almost spill the sauce down my dress whilst doing so, lets just say multitasking wasn't my strong point.

'Is, why are you dressed up?' Mol asks, making me quite literally fall against the counter whilst holding a saucepan full of pasta.

'Jesus bloody christ Mol, you scared me so much' I sigh, trying to regain my non existent chill. 'Wait why are you not dressed up?' I ask.

'You said we were having a meal, I thought you meant take out, not candle lit best friend catch up time' She laughs observing the room. 'Wait why is the table set out for three people?' She asks, walking over to the thick white wood dining table. Okay I guess it was now or never.

'Uh, because were not eating alone tonight?' I question, my voice getting quieter towards the end of the sentence.

Her face looks confused at first but ever so slowly her face falls, most likely now coming to the realisation of the point of the dinner tonight.

'You have got to be kidding me' She says, looking down at her ripped jeans and black top. Okay, maybe I didn't think through tonight as well as I should have but who cares.
