Isabella's POV
All I can say is thank god for taxis. Jetlag was already chasing dangerously after me and I'd been on this side of the world for about an hour now. With every second that went by, my eyes would slowly droop even more until they'd finally close, I'd jolt them back open realising how close I was to falling asleep, and then spend about 10 minutes focusing on keeping myself awake.
Molly on the other hand was happily slumped in her chair, typing away on her phone. I envied her alertness.
'We're here darlin' The driver shouts back. Molly slides open the door of the taxi and climbs out, pulling out her purse in the process. I sling my backpack back on and follow Molly's lead, clambering ever so gracefully (not), out the car.
'Cheers' Molly smiles, giving him the money through the window.
I quickly hop around the back of the taxi and open up the boot, pulling out my suitcase. You'd think Molly would help me but she was too busy watching paint dry.
Ugh, I need to stop being so bitchy when I'm tired.
I slam the boot shut and wheel my suitcase onto the pavement, waving off the taxi driver in the process.
'Home sweet home' Mol sighs, looking up at my apartment building.
'That god for that' I giggle, walking into the lobby and pressing the button for the lift.
We both stand there awkwardly waiting for the lift and I tap my hand on my thigh. I look over at Molly and she's smiling down at her phone.
'Who you texting?' I query, nudging her side.
'Huh, nobody' She snaps back, smiling.
'Oh, okay' I reply, just as the elevator pings out. We both clamber in and press floor 15, the doors swiftly closing moments later.
I tune into the elevator music, biting the inside of my bottom lip slightly. This had been a long ass day.
I look over at Molly who's staring at her feet, standing with her feet slightly crossed.
'Hang on' I begin. 'Are we gonna talk about uh-'
'Talk about what?' Molly queries quickly.
'Dude' I roll my eyes.
'What!?' She stresses.
'ASHTON!' I raise my voice slightly, trying to hold back the smirk.
'What do you mean?' She blushes, bringing up her sweater sleeve and covering one side of her face in attempt to hide the obvious reaction to his name.
You would have thought someone like Molly would just come clean to avoid the embarrassment of dragging it out, making her as uncomfortable as physically possible. But no.
Of course she'd make it worse for herself.
'I mean the fact I found out over the phone' I giggle, feeling the excitement mol must be feeling being with someone like Ash.
'Found out what over the phone?' Molly asks oblivious, stepping hastily out the elevator and up to my front door.
I grab the keys out my back pocket and open the dark brown double doors, revealing my same apartment I had truly missed.
'Jesus cut the shit Mol, I know you're fucking Ash'
Shit, I didn't mean for it to come out so harsh. Fuck fuck fu-
'Excuse me?' She stops in her tracks, narrowing her eyes at me in disgust.
Crap crap crap, walk it off Is, walk it off.
