"You're both going to have to start getting along." Harper addressed sternly. Hyde carried her back to their shed after the sun had set. Because of the side effects of the medication she received, Harper slept for about 10 hours.

After waking up and repositioning her arm so the aching would be minimal, she got up and confronted Yanpu and Hyde.

"I know that you both are at odds. I get it. But we have to figure something out for the greater good. I don't want my life to be at risk because of you guys."

"I'm sorry about your arm..." Yanpu fiddled his thumbs and looked at his feet.

"Do you seriously think apologizing for that will solve everything, Yanpu?" Harper sighed, ignoring his pouty expression.

She knew that Yanpu was only apologizing because he accidentally inflicted harm on HER. But that wasn't the initial problem.

What was wrong overall was the fact that he tried to hurt someone intentionally. Harper just so happened to be there to block it. With the amount of power he had, Yanpu could've killed someone.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to."

Yanpu chewed his bottom lip. His eyes shifted to Hyde, who was raising one of his eyebrows in surprise.

"Well? Go on! Apologize." Harper placed a hand on her hip.

Yanpu felt his blood boil when Hyde smirked at Harper's demand. Nevertheless, he took a deep breath, puffed out his cheeks, and placed both his hands at his sides.

"I'm... sorry." Yanpu forced himself to say.

"For?" Hyde teased him, rubbing it in so Yanpu could feel even more embarrassed.

"I'm sorry for trying to hit you."

"And?"

"Don't get cocky, Hyde. You're no better than he is." Harper spat.

"If I remember correctly, I was the one who rushed you to Akamau so you could be treated." Hyde shot back.

"But none of this would've happened if you hadn't provoked Yanpu."

"I provoked who now?" Hyde stood and towered over her. A soft cackle left his lips. "You wanted me to communicate, and I told the kid that the Whilfox wasn't coming back. Sue me."

"Communication takes a lot more than brutal honesty!"

"What else do you want me to do? Sugar coat and shite?"

"Can't you for once consider someone's feelings before saying something nonsensical?"

"You're asking ME to be considerate?" Hyde barked out a laugh.

"It's not that hard to do!"

"Then set an example. Show me how it's done! Would you like me to list all the times you were considerate when you disregarded my suggestions or what I wanted?"

"Just..." Harper inhaled and grabbed onto his shoulders. "Let's not stray away from what we're talking about now. Okay?"

"A little late for that."

"Hyde, please." Harper huffed. "Can't you both just call a truce?"

"It depends. What's in it for me?"

"Your life," Harper concluded. "Our lives. We are all we have right now. As much as you two hate to see it, without the three of us together, it would be VERY hard for us to continue surviving."
