"That was amazing." Ethan breathed as we walked back to the staff room.
"Yeah it was a special moment." I agreed.
"We need to start thinking about some names." he said happily.
"We have to stop talking about her now." I whispered as we reached the staff room.
"Hey." I said to Susan as I saw her sitting at the table.
"Hello." she said kindly.
Ethan glanced between the two of us and raised his eyebrow.
"This is Susan she's the new receptionist." I told him.
"Nice to meet you." he smiled.
I jumped slightly as his phone started ringing.
"I'd better take this." he said as he looked at the screen.
"I'll be right back." he added as he pecked my lips and left to answer the phone.
"Would you like a hot drink?" I asked Susan.
"I'd love a cup of tea." she said.
I smiled and took three cups from the cupboard.
"So is that your husband?" she asked.
"Yeah." I told her.
"He's very handsome." she stated.
"He's not bad." I smiled.
She laughed and watched me make the drinks.
"I hope things work out well for the two of you." she said.
"Thanks." I said quietly.
I glanced at her as she rummaged in her handbag.
"Have you lost something?" I asked.
"I forgot my lipstick." she stated.
"I like to refresh it after I've eaten." she sighed.
I quickly pulled one out of my bag and handed it to her.
"Keep it, I have another one at home." I said.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"Yeah." I told her.
"It's a really pretty shade." she said as she smiled at me.
I looked up as Caleb entered the room.
"Hey Cal, would you like a drink?" I offered.
"Nope." he said shortly.
"So how have you been?" I asked him.
He ignored me and rummaged in the fridge."Cal?" I prompted.
"I'm moving out by the way." he stated.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"So you don't need to worry about me getting in the way." he said sarcastically as he walked away.
"Cal!" I called.
He ignored me and continued walking.
"Caleb!" I called again.
I sighed and perched on one of the stools. Why was he being like this? Just because I'd married Ethan didn't mean that I deserved to be punished. I knew that he would be upset, but I had no idea he'd react like this.
"That was awkward." Susan chuckled.
"Yeah just a bit." I sighed.
"What's wrong?" Ethan asked when he entered the room and glanced at my face.
"Cal's still won't talk to me and says that he's moving out." I whispered.
He sighed and hugged me.
"He needs to get a grip, it's really not that much of a big deal." he sighed.
"He just wants to make you feel bad when you didn't do anything wrong." he added.
"I know but I miss him." I admitted.
"You do?" he frowned.
"Yeah he's been a good friend to me." I told him.
"Kind of." he said quietly.
"He'll come back when he wants something." he added.
"Anyway who was on the phone?" I asked.
"It was Kirstie, Cal told her that we got married and she wanted to congratulate us." he stated.
"I also spoke to her sister." he added.
"She has a sister?" I frowned.
"Yeah Lindsay." he answered.
"How are they?" I asked.
"Good, apparently Cal got on really well with Kai." he said.
"Good." I smiled as I handed him his cup of tea.
"Apparently they are moving back to England." he stated.
"What?!" I spluttered.
"Don't choke on that, it's meant to be my lunch break." he chuckled.
He glared at me as I elbowed him in the ribs.
"Kirstie has been offered a job here." he said.
"At Holby?" I asked.
"Yeah." he grinned.
"Wow." I breathed.
"It'll be great to have her around and to meet Kai." I added.
"Yeah it will." he agreed.
