"Do you want some lunch?" Caleb offered a couple of hours later.

"No I'm fine thanks." I replied.

"Where are you going?" he asked as I stood up and put my jacket on.

"I'm going to visit Georgia and then retrace Mum's steps." I told him.

He watched me for a moment, a look that I couldn't interpret on his face.

"Do you want some company?" he offered.

"Yeah an extra pair of eyes would be great." I smiled.

After spending a couple of hours with Georgia, I finally felt ready to retrace my mother's steps.

"She would have left about four pm and her quickest route home would be this way." I told Caleb as I pointed it out on the map.

"How do you know where she lives?" he frowned.

"I looked on the staff records." I told him.

"If she took that route then she would have gone through the subway." he said as he pointed it out on the map.

"The police found her body in the subway, so I think we should check it out." I said thoughtfully.

He stared at me and sighed.

"What?" I pressed him.

"I just think that the police would have investigated the area already and if there was anything to see they would have found it." he said quietly.

"Not always." I stated stubbornly.

He raised his eyebrow skeptically.

"Well I'm going to have a look, you don't have to come with me." I told him as I stood up and put on my jacket.

"No I'll come with you, to make sure that you are safe." he sighed and followed me.

"Whatever." I muttered as I made my way out of the hospital.

Eventually after we walked in silence for a while, we reached the subway.

"It must be this one." I said as I glanced at the map.

"Yep." Caleb sighed.

"What exactly are we looking for?" he asked impatiently as we walked into the subway.

"I'm not sure." I admitted.

"There's a lot of grafitti." he chuckled as he stared at the walls.

"Yeah, some of its not bad." I said quietly.

"I wouldn't go that far." he grinned.

"Hey look there's some on the floor over here." I frowned.

I looked around and noticed that the walls were covered in grafitti, but the floor was blank....apart from this one patch.

"What does it say?" he asked.

"I'm not sure." I admitted as I knelt down and gazed at the writing.

"It says ANDR." I frowned.

"Huh?" he said as he knelt down beside me and peered at it.

"That's really strange." he said as he gently brushed his fingers against the writing.

"It's not even paint." he added.

"What?" I frowned.

"It's the wrong consistency." he said as he turned his hand over and I saw that some of it was on his fingers.

"It feels greasy." he said as he rubbed his fingers together.

"That makes no sense." I whispered.

"And it smells like cherries." he chuckled as he sniffed his finger.

"It can't be...." I whispered thoughtfully.

I quickly pulled out my phone and took a picture of the writing. I jumped as I heard a crash coming from the other end of the subway.

"What was that?" Caleb whispered.

"Probably nothing." I sighed as I stood up.

I frowned as I heard another noise. Caleb gently took my hand and pulled me behind him as he braced himself for whatever was coming around the corner.....
