After what felt like the longest journey of my life, I eventually arrived at the hospital. I'd spent the whole journey thinking about Ethan and how different he looked. I'd always known that being away from his job and his family would be hard for him, but I hadn't expected him to be quite so dejected. He seemed to have lost the will to fight. We had to hope that he would soon be free, but I knew there was a possibility that he could be in jail for years to come. I'd told him that I would get him out and it was a promise that I intended to keep.

Caleb glanced up at me as I sat next to him.

"How was he?" he asked.

"Not great." I admitted as I glanced into the incubator and sighed in relief as I saw that Georgia was still breathing. Her little chest rose and fell slowly.

"Your Dad rang." Caleb announced.

"Really?!" I frowned.

"Yeah, you left your phone here." he smiled as he handed it back to me.

"I didn't even realise I didn't have it." I admitted.

"He's coming by in a bit." he said.

"Wait....what?!" I exclaimed.

He smiled and rolled his eyes.

"You told him about Georgia?" I frowned.

"Yeah." he frowned.

"Oh for god sake Cal!" I exclaimed.

"I didn't realise she's a secret." he said sarcastically.

"She's not, but I don't even know this guy." I said bluntly.

"He's your Dad." he pointed out.

"I'm aware of that, but I haven't had anything to do with him for years. Plus I don't want loads of people meeting her before Ethan does, it seems unfair somehow!" I snapped, my temper rising.

My head snapped up as I heard a knock at the door. I glared at Caleb as I saw that it was my father.

"Hey." he said as he entered the room.
"Hello." I said quietly.

"Is this her?" he whispered as he peered into the incubator.

"Yeah." I said quietly.

"She's so tiny." he said.

I nodded. He quickly crossed the room and hugged me awkwardly.

"And how are you?" he asked.

"Getting there." I smiled.

"Is this your partner?" he asked, glancing at Caleb.

"No." I said quickly as I suddenly remembered the kiss. All the guilt suddenly rushed back.

"I'm her brother in law, Caleb." Caleb said.

"Oh right, sorry." Dad smiled.

I glanced at my father as he sat on my other side. I felt Caleb take my hand and squeeze it gently.

"I was having a rummage in the loft yesterday and I found some photographs for you." he stated as he handed me an envelope.

I opened it and smiled as I saw a collection of pictures from when Stuart and I were young.

"I thought you should have them." he smiled.

"Aww look how tiny Stuart is." I smiled as I looked at them.

"Is this Mum?" I asked.

"Yeah that's taken about a week before she left." he muttered.

"Sorry." I said quietly.

"It destroyed me when she left." he admitted.

"Do you still love her?" I asked.

"Yeah, I think I always will, but I hate her too, for what she did to me and the two of you." he stated.

"I think it hit Stuart harder because he was the oldest and so he remembers us when we were a family." I admitted.

"He's not the oldest." he said quickly.

"Yeah he is, I'm two years younger." I smiled slightly.

"I know that, but Stuart isn't the oldest." he repeated.

I glanced at Caleb and then back at my father.

"I'm confused." I frowned.

"You mean she didn't tell you?" he said.

"Tell me what?" I asked.

"You and Stuart have an older sister." he said quietly.
