I smiled to myself as I placed a blanket into Georgia's new crib.

"Thank god for that." Caleb sighed as he collected the screwdrivers from the floor.

"I didn't realise it would take that long to put together." I sighed.

"It's coz the instructions are shit." he smiled.

"Yeah." I said quietly.

I glanced at him as the uncomfortable silence fell. Things had been awkward between us since the day at the ward. I'd mostly managed to avoid him, I couldn't be bothered with the confrontation. Things were finally starting to look up for me, I had to focus on that and try and forget all the drama.

"We should probably get going." I said as I glanced at the clock.

"You go, I'll wait here." he said quietly.

"I thought you wanted to come with me?" I frowned.

"I'm sure you can manage on your own." he shrugged.

"What's your problem?!" I exclaimed.

"Nothing." he said dismissively.

"Doesn't seem like it." I said skeptically.

"I thought you didn't like talking." he said sarcastically.

I watched him in stunned silence as he turned and walked away. It was obvious that he was punishing me for the other day. I don't know what he expected from me, yes I did feel something for him but it was nothing compared to what I felt for Ethan. I wasn't going to sacrifice Ethan and my family for him and he had to learn to accept that. I sighed and made my way to the hospital.

Caleb's POV

As I heard her close the front door I threw myself down at the dining table. She had no idea how much it was torturing me being around her. I couldn't stand to be away from her but at the same time it was hurting me. I knew that it was wrong of me to feel the way I did. She's married to my brother, I wasn't supposed to fall for her, but I couldn't help it. Maybe I was a bad person after all.

Emma's POV

I breathed a sigh of relief as I placed Georgia's car seat on the floor. She smiled up at me happily. It was such a relief to have her home safe and well.

"So you're back then." Caleb said shortly as he came around the corner.
"Looks like it." I said sarcastically.

"Do you want me to make dinner?" he offered.

"Nope, I'm going to settle her down and get an early night." I told him.

"Fair enough." he shrugged.

I glared at his back as he walked away from me. I sighed and carefully carried Georgia upstairs.

Once I'd got her settled and snuggled into bed myself, my head began to spin. An hour passed....then two...I just couldn't get to sleep. I gave up and switched the lamp on. As I picked up a book, I jumped as I heard a thud from downstairs.

I listened carefully, it couldn't be Caleb I'd heard him go to bed a while ago. Unless he'd got back up again. I slowly climbed out of bed and made my way to the bedroom door. As I slowly opened it and peered round I heard another noise.

"Cal!" I called nervously, desperately hoping that he would call back and let me know that it was him and not an intruder.

No response. I switched on the lights and made my way downstairs.....
