Lucy POV:
Keira and I are sitting next to Y/n's bed she looks so smal and fragile at the moment. She has a full Leg cast and a cast on her wrist. The Doctor said she could wake up any moment, so we're just waiting. the Doctor warned us that Y/n could be in any kind of emotional state when she wakes up as for most young Children being hit by a Car so bad is such a shock that it sends them in a state. But it's different with everyone so she could even wake up and be our happy little Baby.
Jen brought us Clothes about an hour ago so we got changed and have just been waiting since. While I'm sitting next to her Bed and holding her hand when I feel her squeeze it.
Lucy: Y/n? sweetie can you hear me? wake up for me my Love.
Keira: wake up Darling
She opens her Eyes and looks at us and gives us the smallest smile ever.
Keira: I'll get the Doctor real quick.
Keira walks out to get the Doctor while I keep my eyes on my precious little Daughter. She's just looking at me not saying a word so I'm thinking she might be in one of her episodes.
Doctor: Hey Y/n how are you feeling?
Y/n doesn't answere and just stares at the Doctor but the longer she's looking at her the more she looks scared up to the point where she starts crying and Stretches her arms out towards me. I look at the Doctor to see if it's ok and she nods so I pick her up and sit with her on the Bed. She starts to calm down as soon as she's in my arms with me whispering to her.
Keira: You just missed your Mommy didn't you? Don't worry my Love the Doctor is just here to check on you.
Lucy: She's just gonna check you real quick and then she might be able to tell us when we can go home, how does that sound hm?
She nods so the Doctor starts looking over her still making sure Y/n knew what she was gonna do next.
Lucy: She hasn't spoken since she woke up but she also has had selective Mutism for quite a while where she just doesn't speak. It's mostly ever been about an hour do you think it's just one of her Episodes or could it be worse?
Doctor: Well since she's had it for a while it could just be one of her Episodes but I'm not gonna Lie to you I've seen Children get so scared by incidents like this one they woke up and just stopped speaking. You see selective mutism can get worse and even better over time depending on how save the Person feels. Y/n's Episodes might have just been an hour because she feels save with you, but an Incident like that could set her Back to the start but I know you're the kind of Parents that will do anything to make her happy again. Even if she stops talking just make her feel save and always remember she wants to talk but can't it's like something in her head is keeping the words from coming out. Only time will tell if she is gonna be able to talk again, so just be there for her and make her feel save and you will all be fine.
Keira: Ok thank you Doctor. We will make sure she is save and feels like the happiest she has ever felt.
Doctor: Also talking is not the only way to comunicate so maybe even consider learning sign language to help her adapt and not feel left out about being able to talk.
Lucy: That's actually a good Idea we might think about it when it comes to a certain point.
Doctor: Alright now I want to keep her here for another two days to make sure that the wound from getting surgery doesn't get infected but after that you are free to go home just keep it calm for a while.
Lucy: Thank you Doctor. You hear that my Love just two days and then we can go home.
Keira: Sweetie we're gonna ask you something ok just nod or shake your head but please answere truthfully ok?
Y/n: "nods"
Keira: Ok my Love did the Incident scare you?
Y/n takes her time but then nods and starts crying.
Lucy: Aww it's ok my Love the Guy that did this is gone ok the Police got him after he ran away for doing this to you.
Y/n crys in my arms but calms down after a few minutes.
Keira: Ok Darling one last question then you can go back to sleep you look tired and need the rest. Do you think this is one of your episodes?
Y/n: "shakes her head"
Lucy: Do you think this will take a while.
Y/n: "nods"
Lucy: Ok my love just know that we will always love you and do anything to make you feel comfortable. Even if you never speak again we will always be with you and even learn sign Language with you so we can still talk to you. Is this something you would like to do? Learn sign Language it would help.
Y/n: "nods"
Keira: Ok my Love I'm gonna find the best way for us to learn it, now go back to sleep you need the rest.
I was about to get up and lay her back on the Bed but she held onto me and wouldn't let go.
Lucy: You want Mommy to lay with you?
Y/n: "nods"
Lucy: Ok my Love I'll stay with you now go to sleep.
Keira: Look who I have here.
Keira gives Y/n Trotti and with that she cuddles up to me and falls asleep. After a few minutes of sleeping I notice that she has her thumb in her mouth and is sucking on it. I look over to Keira and see she has tears in her eyes.
Lucy: Hey, hey what's wrong Darling?
Keira: It's just can you imagine how much this has scared her if it means that she stop talking?
Lucy: No I can't but the most Important thing is that we are there for her and make her feel safe. If you believe it or not I think we might have our happy little Baby back sooner than you think.
Keira: You think?
Lucy: We've got the support of the whole Arsenal Team and I'm pretty sure that the England Team will also help where they can, so how can our little Lovebug not come back with all these lovely People around her.
Keira: Yeah you're right.
Lucy: No surprise there when am I not right.
Keira and I laugh and then sit in silence again. Keira and I keep our eyes on Y/n who is still sucking her thumb.
Keira: Why do you think she has her Thumb in her mouth.
Lucy: I think she's just doing it for comfort, I mean at this point we don't know what's going on inside her head.
Keira: Yeah but I'm pretty sure we won't be getting her normal self back while being locked in this damn Hospital.
Lucy: well than we are very Lucky that we only have to stay for 2 days.
Keira: Yeah two more days and then we can take our Baby home.
