Having someone in your life who truly cares for you and whom you care for just as deeply is nothing short of a blessing from the angels themselves.

And for our Mr. Perfect CEO, Lan Wangji, that blessing came in both ways.

Now, he had someone to cherish dearly and someone who cherished him in return. Sometimes, he still wondered what he had done in life to deserve an angel like Wei Ying.

He was truly happy, in the most genuine way.

It had been three months since that unforgettable night when they publicly revealed their relationship. Life had changed since then, especially for Wei Ying.

After the party, Wei Ying's popularity skyrocketed, especially within his university. But the sudden attention wasn't something he enjoyed. He hated being the center of gossip. He wasn't used to whispers in the corridors, the stares in the canteen, or being the hot topic in university group chats.

were not thrilled about the fact that Wei Ying was now his boyfriend.

But no one dared say anything out loud.

Because everyone knew one thing very clearly crossing Lan Wangji was like inviting a thunderstorm into your life. And no one was foolish enough to risk that.

Still, it wasn't all negativity.

There were also many who genuinely supported them classmates, peers, even faculty members who admired Wei Ying's boldness and sincerity.

He had unknowingly earned a new title: "The Love of CEO."

A simple, affectionate nickname.

And though Wei Ying often groaned and grumbled about being talked about so much, deep down, he didn't hate it. Especially when the person they all talked about the man who would sometimes silently pick him up from college when he is free, who made sure he ate on time, who looked at him like he was the only star in the sky..... was Lan Zhan, his Lan Zhan.

In these three months of blissful love, only one major issue had managed to stir trouble and, of course, it happened in Wangji's office.

One afternoon, Wei Ying overheard two employees talking or rather, thirsting over his boyfriend. And they weren't being subtle about it either.

More than just gossip, their words crossed the line of basic respect. And unfortunately for them, Wei Ying had heard it.

He wasn't one to stay quiet in such situations.

So, he decided to take a little... revenge. A harmless one. At least, in his opinion.

He brought two live rats and..with a mischievous grin on his face carefully placed them into the purses of the two employees.

What followed next was pure chaos.

Screams echoed across the floor. Bags were flung. Desks were overturned. People climbed onto chairs. One person even called their therapist. HR nearly passed out.

The entire department looked like a war zone.

Naturally, complaints flooded into the CEO's cabin.

Lan Wangji, already knowing exactly who the culprit was, simply closed his eyes and sighed in defeat. He adored Wei Ying, no one in the world could change that but he also couldn't afford to have employees resign one after another just because his boyfriend enjoyed pulling pranks on the people who dared to talk about him inappropriately. He can't let Wei Ying's jalousy to harm his his employees.
