At the Wei and Jiang household, preparations were in full swing. The Lans were no ordinary guests; they were highly esteemed, and every detail of the evening was being carefully overseen by Madam Yu and Cangse Sanren, the leading ladies of the house. The atmosphere buzzed with activity as the staff and family members worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect for the special guests.

Wei Wuxian was initially confused by all the fuss. It wasn’t often that his family went to such lengths unless it was a significant event like a birthday or an anniversary. Curious, he approached his mother, Cangse Sanren, and asked what the occasion was. She simply smiled and told him to wait until tonight. Though intrigued, Wuxian quickly became distracted by his own mission—to seduce Lan Wangji.

With his mind fully absorbed in his plan, he spent the day preparing, specifically focusing on how to entice Lan Wangji to drink the milkshake he was planning to offer. He researched various recipes, trying to find the perfect one that would be irresistible. He knew that after dinner, he had to find a way to get Lan Wangji alone in his room, where he could execute his plan.

Realizing he might need some assistance, his thoughts immediately turned to his trusty friend, Nie Huaisang. If anyone could help him pull this off, it was Huaisang—the reliable partner in his mischief.

Wuxian immediately called Huaisang and laid out his entire plan, seeking his friend’s help in executing it. Huaisang, however, was already privy to a startling revelation. After speaking with Lan Wangji, he had learned that Lan Zhan and Lan Wangji were, in fact, the same person. Initially, Huaisang found it hard to believe—after all, why would the esteemed CEO of Lan Enterprises be engaging in casual chats under a different name?

It wasn’t until Wangji video-called him, showing his unmistakable face and unmistakable surroundings, that Huaisang finally accepted the truth. Wangji, now fully aware of Wei Wuxian’s plan to seduce and expose him, had made Huaisang promise to keep his true identity a secret. He assured Huaisang that his intentions toward Wei Ying were not harmful and that he genuinely cared for him.

Reluctantly, Huaisang agreed to keep Wangji’s identity hidden, but only after ensuring Wangji’s motives were genuine and that Wei Wuxian wouldn’t be hurt. Being a loyal friend, Huaisang’s priority was always Wuxian’s well-being, and he wouldn’t hesitate to intervene if he sensed any danger.

With his promise to Wangji secured, Huaisang turned his attention back to Wuxian, ready to assist his friend in whatever way he could—even if it meant participating in a plan that was more complicated than Wuxian could ever imagine.

After talking with Huaisang, Wuxian finally got ready for the dinner. He had already invited Huaisang to come over, knowing that his presence at the Wei and Jiang house was a regular occurrence. They often spent time together, and Huaisang’s company always gave Wuxian an extra boost of confidence. Tonight, though, was different—tonight, Huaisang's support was essential.

Wuxian stood in front of the mirror, carefully applying a touch of extra makeup to enhance his already striking features. He added a bit more shimmer to his eyes, a subtle red tint to his lips, and made sure his hair was styled perfectly, falling effortlessly yet stylishly around his face. He wanted to look his absolute best—beautiful and irresistible—anything to make his plan to seduce Lan Wangji a success. If he was going to pull this off, he needed every advantage, and looking extra stunning was the first step.

As he admired his reflection, Wuxian couldn’t help but smirk. “Perfect,” he whispered to himself. “Let’s see if Lan Wangji can resist this.”

Feeling satisfied with his appearance he took hi small note pad where he written the recipe of milkshake, and  he headed downstairs towards the kitchen, ready to play the part of the charming host—but with a secret mission in mind that no one, except Huaisang, knew about.
