"No, but there is one tent, so I guess she was there since only Sir Mao was outside near the bonfire they made,""She must trust him, and he was confident that he could protect her. Sir Mao was also one of the talented knights that I failed to hire, and his brother, who also went to House Vego instead to become a Royal Knight."
Crown Prince Renz said that since he had once scouted him before but then rejected his offer. Kerz and Dravis just listened to him while they were preparing their food.
"Should I go help them?"
"No, you don't have to since Sir Mao didn't ask for it."
"Alright,"
They continued what they were doing while Crown Prince Renz went into the tent that Dravis built for him, and the other one was for Kerz and Draviz.
~~~
"Miss Davina, wake up."
Sir Mao gently called her outside her tent, but then she did not answer, so he waited for a few seconds before calling her again. However, no answer after many times of waking her up.
"You told me to wake you up so we can exchange sleeping, but here you are sleeping dead?"
Sir Mao uttered as he slowly opened the tent and saw her sleeping peacefully, and he sighed after seeing her, which made him facepalm. He tried to wake her up by gently tapping her shoulders, but she just moved to turn on the other side. He frowned that she could sleep there like she was in her room, but then he thought that she must be tired from walking so far from the entrance of the forest. He was aware that they were near the center of the forest, but he chose not to tell her since he didn't want her to get excited, so he agreed when Kerz invited them to go with them to spend the night, even though he could protect her, but he chose to keep her more protected by joining with others.
"My Lady, wake up, or I'll carry you."
He said, but she still didn't wake up, so he sighed as he picked up her things before covering her with the blanket she had given him earlier, as he carried her in his arms. Sir Mao followed the light, which was not far from them, as Kerz had pointed out, where they had set up their tents. On the other hand, Kerz was looking at the other side where he saw the light of fire since it had been 30 minutes, he went there, but they were not coming.
"It seems that the Lady didn't want to come."
Kerz uttered as he looked at Crown Prince Renz, who was eating silently beside Dravis, who was also eating and didn't care about what he was saying.
"..."
"..."
Kerz didn't get any response from them, so he continued to eat when he was a shadow from the woods behind Crown Prince Renz and Dravis. He stood up and approached Sir Mao, who was carrying Davina in his arms.
"Pardon me. She was sleeping and not waking up. Our things are left, so if I could let her sleep in a tent for a bit while I get our tent?"
Sir Mao said as he looked at them, Crown Prince Renz looked at her sleeping peacefully in his arms, when Kerz immediately led him to their tent.
"Of course, you can lay her down,"
Kerz offered his space for her, along with the blanket that was lying on the ground, while Sir Mao gently put her down as he put her things beside her.
"Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience."
"It's alright. Should I help you wrap up?"
Kerz offered him, but Sir Mao politely declined his offer as he immediately went back to the tent and their remaining things. Just a few minutes, Sir Mao carried their things and put them down near the fire as he immediately built the tent beside the tent where Davina is sleeping.
