"What?! Mom, why would I bring a lover?! I am not like before." She immediately defended herself. Her mother chuckled to see her bothered reaction before she looked at Ash, who was looking at them now.

Davina remembered what Allyssa told her that she brought her so-called-lover before, but didn't admit directly which was her darkest past that she doesn't want to remember, even though she was not the one who did it before she came, especially that it was the cause of her abduction.

"I know, you saved her, and I am thankful for that, but I don't think magical beasts are willing to go with a human unless they like them to pack with them or make a contract, so I want to know your motive for my daughter." Roselyn looked at Ash seriously.

"Mom, I will take responsibility for waking him during the hunting event, and as for thanking him. I will let him stay as long as he likes, and also, he didn't ask me any of it." Davina said as she looked at her mother before looking at Ash, who was about to answer, but she didn't make him talk.

"Alright. You don't have to pact with him if ever he asks you to, Davina. We can treat him as a special guest of House Bennett."

"Thank you, Mom."

Davina said as she smiled at her mother and grandfather before they went inside. Davina takes care of Ash and accommodates him like a guest while Ash just followed her, though he was just observing her since he didn't care about being a guest, but just wanted to get an answer from his own curiosity, and the feelings he felt when she called his name.

"Ash, I apologize for my mother's statement earlier."

Davina said after she had toured him around the mansion, and brought him to the garden since the servants were preparing his room, that he would be using. She decided that they should have some tea while waiting.

"It's okay. She has the right to ask those, especially for her daughter. I don't mind it."

"Alright. Here, have some tea."

Davina smiled at his statement since he was not offended or anything, but they treated magical beasts with respect, but then her mother didn't have that one. Ash didn't mind it since he understood how mothers are protective of their children, as he accepted the tea that Davina offered. Davina also poured her own tea and put some sugar in it while Ash watched her, which reminded him of her once again, those habits that he knew very well.

"Davina, are you--" Ash paused before he could finish his statement. "Did you always have those habits?" He continued changing his statement as he looked at her intently.

"Huh? What do you mean? Putting sugar in my tea? Yes, I can't drink it, it's not sweet."

Davina answered as she stirred her tea while looking at Ash, confused about his question. Ash watched her doing exactly what Avy's habit was before answering her.

"All of it."

"Huh? How come all of it?" She asked curiously.

"I mean, your habits were the same with someone I knew," Ash said as he watched her reaction, but then he just saw a curiosity on her face.

"Do we really have the same habits? Like putting sugar or honey to sweeten the tea?"

Davina looked at him since she couldn't believe that she had someone with similar habits while she was waiting for his response. Ashis is looking for any deceit or lies from her or pretending, but then she naturally sips on her tea.

"Yes, oddly the same as if you were her."

"Nah, maybe we just coincidentally had the same habits."

Davina said as she thought that it's impossible to have the same habits, but it might be similar, not exactly the same; however, she can't tell him or disagree since she doesn't know who he was talking about.
