"It's not funny, Kerz. If you were in my place, you would not laugh like that. You can ask Sir Mao, who witnessed that day." Ash said to Crown Prince Kerz while he was glaring at him for laughing."I can vouch that Ash was really tor--!" Sir Mao willingly talked, but Davina fed him once again to make him shut up.
"I told you that I like you more if you shut your mouth, Sir Mao. You should be defending your lady, not the other way around." Davina said as she smiled at Sir Mao, who was glaring at her for feeding him once again.
"Lady Bennett, you should really refrain from feeding Sir Mao like that. Someone will take different even if your purpose was to shut him up," Crown Prince Kerz said softly to Davina.
"I'm sorry for the inappropriate actions, Your Highness," Davina said as she looked down since she had become comfortable while they were with her.
"It's alright, Lady Bennett, since we knew someone like you, but you must refrain from doing it in public." Crown Prince Kerz added as he smiled at Davina.
"I will keep in mind, Your Highness," Davina said as she smiled back at him.
Sir Mao raised an eyebrow while looking at Davina's reaction to Crown Prince Kerz because he didn't expect that she was acting properly now like a noble lady of House Bennett. Ash just looked at Crown Prince Kerz and Davina's interaction since Kerz was being soft on her when he could scold her or make her embarrassed by a lack of etiquette around a royal member.
"Lady Bennett, can I invite you to House Vego? I don't take a 'no' answer." Ian said so, suddenly making them look at him in shock expressions on their faces because he was so quiet, but then he suddenly spoke.
After hearing Ian's statement, they went in silence, in shock since they were still arguing about the torture talk when Ian suddenly spoke out of nowhere. Ian looked at them as if he hadn't just invited Davina to his estate.
"...uh, that's out of nowhere, Your Grace. But alright, since you personally invited me." Davina spoke and breaking the silence, and she couldn't decline his invitation, especially since he was inviting her personally.
"Then, it's settled. You will be my partner at my birthday. I will be sending the invitation later." Ian said nonchalantly as he continued drinking his tea.
"W, what? W, wait, I only agreed to attend, but I didn't agree to be your partner." Davina said while looking at Ian, unbelievably, and making her unable to speak straight from surprise at his statement.
Crown Prince Kerz, Ash, and Sir Mao were still processing what was happening since they didn't expect Ian to say words and suddenly invite her to an event that he is not fond of. Even ditching his own birthday banquet, which was famous because he only showed up once, then vanished after giving a speech and showing his face.
"You already agreed, and it's your fault for not asking what the occasion of my invitation is. Are you going to take back your agreement?" Ian said as he looked at her intently, so Davina shook her head as she looked away.
"I will be sending someone to take your measurements for your dress that will match my suit," Ian added after Davina shook her head.
Davina just nodded in defeat since she couldn't believe that she would be attending a birthday banquet by Ian when they are not that close, but she couldn't decline him as he still had a higher position, even though she needed connections from different Houses to gain merits for being the heir of her house.
"Wait, Ian, you were aware that the heir of Count Kennedy already showed his fondness for Lady Bennett. Why are you making her your partner? Also, you are not celebrating your birthday normally," Crown Prince said as he looked at Ian and trying to read what's on his mind.
