"I was already late to attend your birthday banquet, and then this happened," Prince Kilden said, glancing toward Davina lying unconscious on the bed. "Fortunately, I brought Priest Luke with me. He can examine Lady Bennett."

Hanz looked around the room.

With everyone who had arrived, the once-spacious chamber suddenly felt cramped.

"I think everyone should go outside," Hanz said firmly.

Ash frowned as he looked at the growing crowd surrounding the bed.

"Humans shouldn't crowd around a patient," he added bluntly. "You're making the room even more suffocating."

Several people looked at him, but Ash paid them no attention.

Crown Prince Renz seemed to agree.

"Everyone, out."

His tone left no room for argument.

He ushered the others toward the door, including Davina's mother and grandfather, until only Hanz, Ash, and Priest Luke remained inside.

"Duke Blaze, Ash, and Priest Luke will stay," Renz instructed. "The rest of us will wait outside."

The door closed behind them, leaving the room quiet once more.

Hanz turned toward Priest Luke.

"Please, check on her."

Priest Luke nodded and approached the bed, his expression becoming solemn as he began examining Davina.

Ash remained beside her, his eyes still fixed on her face.

Why did you call my name, Davina?

The question lingered in Ash's mind as he continued staring at her sleeping face.

"She was only sleeping," Priest Luke finally said after completing his examination. He straightened and looked at the others. "What happened to her?"

"According to Ian, the Young Duke, Lady Davina began crying when he saw her," Hanz explained. "She was holding her head at the time, and shortly afterward, she fainted. Her mother also mentioned that she has been experiencing headaches repeatedly."

Priest Luke hummed thoughtfully.

"Hm. I also attempted to purify her, but..." He paused, his brows furrowing. "It seems she is completely fine."

That answer only made him more puzzled.

The purification should have revealed something if there was an abnormality affecting Davina, whether it was a curse, lingering magic, or some other form of corruption.

But there was nothing.

Not even the slightest indication that anything was wrong.

"She's been really mysterious," Ash muttered.

His eyes never left Davina.

Hanz and Priest Luke both turned toward him.

Ash remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.

"...It's as if Avy was her, but at the same time, she isn't."

The words slipped out before Hanz could stop himself.

Ash finally looked at him.

For a moment, neither of them said anything.

Then Ash's gaze slowly returned to Davina.
