A few more turns after Hinata ensured no one followed him, he hid his bike on an alleyway and suited up, gripping his knife as if his life depends on it.

He didn't know why they handed it to him on broad daylight or why they were purposefully being careless. Usually its either Shindo or Ichijo who gives direct orders on who to scavenge, but not this time.

It gave him a sense of uncertainty adding to his ever growing anxiety.

Was it a warning? It was stupid yet definitely effective. As if a reminder that even watchfull eyes can't stop the devil.

After waiting untill the sun disappeared, he still didn't get a single clue what the action was for. No messenger or what not.

Hinata decided to just go home and rest with Natsu and hopefully get permission to bring her to Tokyo.

If it takes blood and tears for that then he's willing to risk it all.

"You guys becareful okay?? Make sure to text me when you get home!"

"We will!"

"Sugawara-san is always worried for no reason lately dont you think, tsukki? He's like a mother hen."

" Who knows? I don't really care."

" Hmm? Says someone who couldn't stop frowning the moment our tangerine ran off~" Yamaguchi teased the blondie. He's been quite observant when it comes to Tsukkshima and Hinata and actually scared the former.

'What if he finds out?'

'That can't happen.'

'I don't want him to end up like my brother.'

"Shut up Yamaguchi. Its just really annoying when he's loud."

" But you still get annoyed when he's quiet too haha."

He doesn't have any excuse about that either. Its a miracle that the moss head is still unaware about the whole gang scenario when he's this sharp. Then again his perceptiveness might be limited to the beanpole. Exclusive radar maybe?

A few moments of silence between them passed. Just enjoying the light breeze hitting the trees and the crunch of leaves being stepped on from time to time. Yamaguchi also kicked a few stones on the way as if trying to spark a conversation then stopping halfway.

"You know tsukki, it's pretty obvious."

"What is?"

"You like hinata right?"

Tsukkshima stopped in his tracks and faced him, wearing an obvious scowl. Daichii also asked him that question so it somehow ticked him off that his friend asked him too. Was it really that obvious?

He took the deepest breath yamaguchi has ever heard. The mosshead was already bracing himself when he said the things he was trying to deny.

"Maybe i do."

Yamaguchi POV

Ahh..

I was already expecting to hear this, but hearing it directly from him hurts. Wait why would it hurt? Im just a stupid friend who follows him around to protect myself from the bullies. Someone who he wouldn't even notice if i didn't show up. The reason i follow him is so i could repay him somehow and not this.

Not to fall for him. I mean thats just weird at least i thought its weird. Tsukki didn't seem to like people with the same gender romantically. Hell he's so salty he gets annoyed with everyone.

But to think he actually likes hinata

How am i supposed to react to this haha..

Stupid people who ask stupid questions will get stupidly painful answers.

"How about you and yachi-san? I heard you've been asking her out."

"I-its not like that.."

"What do you mean? I heard the idiot 2nd years talking though."

How do i say 'i tried to like her so i could forget about you because i thought you dont like guys but now i know you like a guy?'

"I just dont want her to be uncomfortable if things develop that fast."

'Im just using yachi as an excuse from my real feelings.'

I  watched him walk away in the oposite direction as i stared at the position he was at a minute ago.
I couldn't say anything. I couldn't confess. Im just the same old coward back then.

What did you expect me to do? Say he should stop wanting hinata cause im here? Choose me.

Choose me and not him??

I can't do that..

I just cant.

If only i didn't give up on him to fast and turn to yachi.

What the fuck did i do to deserve this misunderstanding??
