The Death Eaters' backs were turned towards you and your friends. Their focus was entirely on what was ahead of them. You tried to see what was happening beyond the wall they had built up, but it was impossible. It was like a swarm of pure black. Nothing was visible.

"Be careful," Hermione instructed, holding your hand back before you almost tripped.

"Where are they going? What are they doing?" You asked her, almost expecting an answer. She always knows.

"Oh, no," Ron whispered, his breath lumping in his throat. "Y/n..."

"What? What is it?" You asked, trying to get a clear view, but the bloody death eaters are blocking every single view from it.

That's when you saw it.

In the midst of the black sea, in the center of the storm, there stood Harry Potter, facing the monster who had tormented him since the day he was born. Harry, now, stood face to face with the thing that had ripped away from him every single person that he loves.

"Now, Harry Potter," Voldemort called, smiling as he walked up to Harry.

You were frozen. All of your senses were gone.

"Where's your pathetic friends?"

Harry stood silent, his hand clenched in a fist at his side. His face showed no sign of emotion, not even of anger. It was a blank canvas, illuminated by the eerie glow of the Death Eaters surrounding him. He stared at Voldemort's bloodshot eyes, his wall never tumbling down.

A moment passed, and something fell off his hand, but it was too minuscule for anyone to see what it was.

"Harry Potter," Voldemort repeated, taking a couple of steps to close the distance between himself and Harry. He waited for Nagini to slither by his side, still not taking his eyes off Harry. "I almost had a fear that you would not show up, but here you are."

He cleared his throat, holding on to his wand tightly.

"Since you have been warned, a lot of things have come out into the light." He allowed himself to chuckle, just once. "Some of my faithful servants, my loyal supporters for years, have betrayed me tonight. Can you believe them? After everything I did for them, having given them a bit of the magic I could do, they slap me on the face with it."

He shook his head, glancing to the right side of Harry.

There, with a tear-stricken and messy hair, Hagrid was the Death Eater that you had met only a couple of moments ago: your mother. Her shackles were weighing her down on the ground, her head almost touching Hagrid's toes. Her whole body dropped like a flower that has no life, that has been cast out by the sun and deprived of any drop of water.

You gasped, your heart now alarmingly beating quicker and quicker.

"Harry, what are you doing here?" Hagrid asked, his voice shaking.

"Quiet!" Voldemort snapped, giving Hagrid an extremely foul look. "This pathetic woman chose to betray my wishes after giving her something so many will give their own lives for!"

Your mother cried harder, her hands gripping the ends of her cloak. From where you stood, you noticed how abnormally large her cloak was laid out on the ground. You squinted your eyes to look closer, then she raised her head, and it seemed to you that she was looking directly at you.

Your blood turned cold.

She moved her cloak to the side, her hand stroking a face that was out on the ground beside her. She bent down and kissed the person's forehead.
