Thank you everyone for your patience on the next chapter! We are entering a new arc in this story which is the Wano arc! I don't know about you, but I'm extremely excited to write this because I have a lot in mind for this part of the story! After all, when 'Uta's Idol' was begin made, it was during Wano arc! It's so hard to believe that it's been almost three years ago since then now I have FINALLY reached this point in the story! I hope you all enjoy the chapter and look forward to what's in store for Uta and company! I don't own One Piece.
WOOSH! CRASH!
Going through rough waters, the Uta Shanty makes its way up towards Wano. With dark clouds swirling above and waves strong enough to shipwreck them, it was no wonder why Wano is such an isolated country. Uta looks straight ahead, excited to see what sort of adventure is awaiting her. Pitch was clearly anxious about the trip and was mostly silent. Rave and Echo were struggling to stand still as the waves consistently threw their balance off.
"Damn, why is the weather so rough?" Echo asks as she holds on to the rail to keep her footing. "The clouds are dark and it's so stormy! I can barely stand straight!"
"Also why does the sea smell strange?" Rave asks as she notices a change in the ocean. "The water looks so clear too."
"You'll see in a moment." Pitch said as she kept a strong hold on the wheel. "Hey, Uta, how're things looking up front?"
"Nothing, but the harsh waves and strange rock formations." Uta said as she kept her eyes on the water and observation haki active. "The fog isn't too thick, but you should still be steady nonetheless. I can also sense some people on top of those rocks there, but they're not hostile."
"What you are sensing are the lookouts." Pitch said, pointing to the top of the rocky cliffs where heavy artillery is seen. "Since we got an invitation from Commander Kaido to come here, they won't treat us as enemies. However, they are not obliged to help us either."
"Why not? It would be nice to give us a hand." Rave said, frustrated.
"Because I'm here." Pitch said in a low yet threatening voice. "I'm sure that they probably see me as a traitor or something."
It was extremely rare to see Pitch get so worked up in such a negative way and everyone figures that it must because they were coming up to Wano. After all, it was no secret how much Pitch hated her older sister and so this eventual reunion is something she isn't looking forward to.
Pitch is calling Kaido 'Commander'. Uta was a bit bothered by Pitch's change of tone. I wonder if she's saying this as a way to avoid showing disrespect. He was her former boss after all and it might be bad if Pitch disrespects him and accidentally starts trouble.
Uta decided not to dwell too much on the topic and figures a change of discussion is needed.
"So what's the land of Wano like?" Uta asks changing the subject. "I've only heard stories from you and Shanks and I want to hear them again."
"It's a beautiful land that's filled with strong willed warriors, great food, rich culture and most importantly, beautiful music." Pitch said to the group. "However, ever since Commander Kaido and the Shogun Orochi took control of Wano, that country is slowly falling apart. When I was living there, I never knew what Wano truly looked like. I just heard it from those who were there before me."
"So when Luffy says that he wants to take down Kaido, I assume that you were pretty happy, right?" Echo asks Pitch. "I mean, you seem to love that country more than serving Kaido, right?"
"It did make me happy to hear that Luffy wanted to overthrow Commander Kaido, but if I'm being frank, I cannot imagine anyone beating the Commander." Pitch answered. "Not even Luffy."
