Sometimes, when I see myself in the mirror, I wonder, "Is that really what other people see? Or do they see something else? Do I look just as bad as I feel to others or do they see something calmer?"

I don't stand and stare at myself long though. I'm usually disgusted with what I see. I want to punch the mirror and pick up the pieces off the ground smash them into even tinier shards...but I don't. Instead, I put my fist down an walk away. In the end it's not the mirror's fault that I look the way I do or that I feel the way I do about the way I look.

I need to remember that even though I'm not the prettiest person alive, I still matter. I have thoughts and feelings and dreams and plans. I'm human. Whether I'm ugly or pretty Or fat or skinny, I'm still just as human as everyone else. So, I matter.

The mirror is just a reflective object that can't always point out the best in you.

The camera will never capture just how beautiful someone or something is because the best beauty is kept by memory; not technology.

It's like a sunset. You could be anywhere in the world and see the most stunning sunset you've ever laid eyes on and when you take the picture, you're picture, you're technology, never does it justice. Now, just because you're picture came out rough doesn't mean shit! Does it make your sunset any less than what you see it to be? Of course not!

When you hold a mirror up to a sunset, even that doesn't do it justice, because the light is far too bright and why would you look at a sunset through a mirror anyway? Look at it straight on! Look at that stunning sunset with your actual eyes! Because that sunset will only ever be there that one time.

Sure, you'll see other ones, maybe even ones that are far more incredible than that one...but, it'll never be that one.

You're a sunset. Technology can't give your beauty the justice and rights to be remembered that you deserve. Who cares if the picture turns out bad? Who cares if the mirror isn't your best friend? Your memory will live on in those who took the time to appreciate you.
