~~Hey guys! I would just like to thank everyone who's been reading and voting! This is the only book I've published with over 150 reads! I'd love to hear feedback! Also I was thinking that maybe an up and coming chapter that I could write a chapter in Caleb's or Dustin's POV, however I don't know which to do so comment who you'd like to read from! Just so you know if I do Caleb's it will be him asking that girl out and if I do Dustin's it will be about a Lycan transformation!~~
Bitchy Bella's Lies
After we finished at the coffee shop we all went back to the school, James didn't believe that I could possibly beat a lycan. So I raced around the track against Dustin first, but James was still not satisfied with the outcome when I won so he raced me. I won again, and again and again. James kept racing me until her was sweaty and breathing hard.
"Damn." He huffed and looked at when while her was hunched over with his hands on his knees. I was unaffected by the races, my heart rate was normal, my legs felt fine, breathing was normal and not an ounce of sweat. "How the hell do you run like that and not even sweat?"
"Running for me make my body feel empowered. Running seems to heal me emotionally and physically." I said and lifted my shirt where the wrap was still hiding the bruises. "See?" I said as I unwrapped the wrap, the bruises were gone and all that was there was my light, soft skin over my ribcage. Nothing was left as a reminder for what happened.
Dustin's eyes widened and so did Calebs. "But this morning- they were still dark purple." Dustin stumbled over his own words.
"Yeah and I've been racing you two, the fast I run the quicker I heal." I smiled. "And I haven't gone as fast as I can yet."
"What?!" James said from the ground, he must've fallen when I directed my attention to Dustin and Caleb. He was still trting to catch his breath. Caleb laughed, which made me turn around to see the shocked face of Dustin standimg next to him. Dustin turned around and bent over to grab something from his game bag he had brought from the locker room, I'm not going to lie he had a nice butt.
He straightened up and turned around holding what looked like a boxy gun, it took me a second to realize what it was. "It's a speed gun. We're gonna use it by having you run as fast as you can around 2 laps to make sure we catch it." Dustin said turning it on. I nodded and walked over to the white painted starting line. "Alright in five, four, three, two, one. Go!"
I bolted I ran as fast as I could, everything around me was a blur and the only thing I could feel was pressure and the ground below me beating against the souls of my feet. My hair felt like it was going to rip out of the roots by the time I finished my first lap. I let me feet carry me and let go of all my worries. I hadn't realized I ran the second lap until the third lap was already completed and I took a dead stop, leaning my body back so the momentum would only carry me up right. I looked at Dustin, his eyes were the widest I've ever seen them. "What?"
"Kylie, do you know how fast you were going?" He asked cautiously.
"Some where around 100, maybe 110?" I guessed, not completely sure about my answer.
"333 m/s, Kylie, you went 333 m/s. You almost broke the sound barrier." Dustin said in a completely shocked and seriousness.
"Holy shit, girl!" James said getting up. "I don't think the pack will be able to touch her with that speed. They'll get even more mad." He said to Dustin.
"Why are they mad? It's not like I'll say anything." I said looking at the two of them.
Dustin shooked his head. "It's not like me and James don't trust you it's just someone spoke up to say you had already threatened the pack."
"I told you, Dustin, it wasn't Bells was just mad at her. She didn't know what she was doing." James tried to defend her.
"Wait Bella said I was a threatening all of the pack?" I asked shocked, that sleeze ball bitch! She's trying to get me killed!
"She said you told her that you were going to find out everything by midnight the day of the football game." Dustin had his arms crossed and he was searching my face for my reaction to what James had said.
"I never said that! I didn't even suspect anything until the bar went the vampire called you pup!" I looked directly at him. "She just wants to get me back for what happened in the alley way! She made it clear then she still had feelings for you and then before the football game she said I needed to leave you because you were a monster." James looked hurt and Dustin didn't change his expression. "I never threatened the pack like that, I will I admit that when she said she'd hurt me I said she'd have to catch me. But that's not a threat, it's a fact."
"Urrrghhh!" James roared/groaned. "Why does she do this? Damn her and her twisted games! I'm so sorry Kylie, I'll figure out her problem." James apologized to me.
"Don't." Dustin said and all of us looked at him. "Her problem is she's warding off everyone thay gets close to me, because she thinks I'm a monster. She doesn't want me hurting anyome else like I did to her. She wants me to pay for hurting her, for turning her. She was trying to ward you off as the crazy ex-girlfriend, and when that didn't work she tried telling you the way she sees the truth without telling you the truth." He was looking down as he spoke.
I walked over to him and tried to hug him but he wouldn't uncross his arms and he wouldn't look at me. "Dustin." I grabbed his face and made him look at me. "Your not a monster. You're a lycan, yes, but you don't purposely hurt people."
Dustin blanked and just looked into my eyes before his arms uncrossed and wrapped around me. He buried his face into my neck amd lifted me up, so he didn't have to strain to lean down, and I wrapped my legs around his waist.
Caleb cleared his throat loudly but we didn't care.
"Come on, let's give them a moment." James and Caleb walked away to the other side of the feild and started talking about God knows what.
"Kylie I'm so sorry for dragging you into this. The pack won't believe us if we try to tell them the truth. They'll kill you the first chance they get." He said into my neck. "Unless..." He didn't continue the statement and I pulled back and looked at him in the face.
"Unless what?" I asked.
"Never mind, it was a stupid idea." He said shakimg his head.
"Dustin this is life or death, if you have am idea- even a stupid one you need to tell me." I said holding his face in my hands.
"I- ah you won't agree to it, and I know you won't." He said putting my feet on the ground.
"You don't know that." I said still confused.
"Well, um a lycan pack is not allow to hurt the- ah mate of another lycan in the pack." He said lokkimg dowm at me.
"Woah woah wait. You want me to be your mate?" I asked completely shocked.
Dustin nodded and took off his family ring amd knelt on one knee. "Kylie James, I know we've only known each other for less than a week, and I know I'm a monster that can't control himself during a full moon, but will you do me the incredible honnor of marrying me?"
