*Kylie's POV*
When I woke up, I was sirounded by grey stone walls. I was laying on a white cotton bed and there were other beds in the room some were empty others and injured men, women and children. There was people dressed in white and black walking around helping people. I looked at the foot of my bed and saw Dustin asleep sitting in a chair. I went to sit up fires if pain bolted through me and I gasped. I guess I was wishing it was all a dream, everything that happened last night.
Dustin heard me and woke up, he jumped to my side. "Thank God you're alive. For a few days there I thought the Terrac didn't work and you had died."
"Days?" I looked at him confused.
"You've been out for 5 days." Dustin whisper. A nurse came up with a chart and carefully raised the bed so I was in a sitting position, my whole body screamed in pain. "You been in the infirmary-"
"Infirmary?" I looked at him wide eyed. "As in hospital?" I hate hospitals, I never have to a hospital since my best friend died in one, that was when I was 4.
"Exactly." He carried on with explaining the infirmary but I tuned out, fear taking control I jumped out of the bed and bolted out the doors, adrenaline killing the pain. I ran down the hallway the walls look like this place was carved out of a mountain.I ran past people, praying to find an exit.
"Kylie?" I heard his voice and I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around he came out from one of the rooms. He hasn't aged a day. "What are you doing up?" Ike asked.
"I-I was never a fan of hospitals." I told him and he nodded.
"I remember that, I told them you put you in your room. Sadly they said they want to monater you like that." He looked at me. "You do realize that now your 100 feet above the hospital."
"What? How?" I said not remembering taking any stairs.
"The floor is slightly tilted you go up without feeling like you're going up, same with down." Ike said and he placed a ball down onto the floor it rolled the way I had just came from. "The hallway floor is the only part that's tilted, everywhere else is flat ground."
"Where's Caleb?" I asked.
"My guess is walking up to the infirmary to check if you woke up, he's probably worried sick since you're not there, also Dustin is looking for you." Ike acted as if it was obvious to everyone. "I would however like to know about the trouble you caused with the wolves, that pretty little ring on your finger, and-oh yeah- why did you get the shit beaten out of you? I thought we raised you better than that."
"One, the wolves' thing was not my fault. Two, I'm engaged. Three, I haven't had training since- oh yeah- you left." I said I had to admit I sounded really bitchy in my own ears.
"We can fix number three within a week. One will probably take awhile but you're probably safe for getting killed because of number two." Ike said crossing his arms and looking at me. "You're still small, what's your weight?"
"Excuse me?" I asked. "You never ask a women what's her weight!" I said appalled by his question.
Ike rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You seemed in better fitness when we were training you."
"Bitch? I'm 98 pounds!" I glared into his soul and slapped him.
He started laughing. "I knew I could get you to say it."
"Your an ass." I hit him again.
"And we're family so suck it up Ky."
"Yeah we're family." I smiled, and for the first time in a week my worries washed away.
