Wait what?
"Good morning." Dustin whispered in my ear. We were sleeping in his bed, my head was on his bare chest and I listened to his heart beat and felt his breathing. "Future Mrs. Johnson, wake up." He brushed some of my hair out of my face and behind my ear.
"Shh." I put my finger to his lips. "Go back to sleep." I said and tried to go back to sleep. I didn't want this moment to ever end, I was only wearing his t-shirt and he was only wearing boxers and we were happy, uninterrupted and in love.
"Kylie, honey, it's 12:14pm." He whispered, pulling my finger off his lips.
"Yeah wake me up later." I mumbled into his chest. I was still tired and sore from last night. He started to get up.
"Fine how about this, I'll let you sleep in for another hour if you move in with me." He said and I shot straight up and looked at him.
"Are you kidding me?" I said looking wide eyed at him. He shook his head laughing a little.
"Yay you're up! Come on, let's go get some food." He said happily.
I rolled my eyes and moved his blankets. "Fine." I said looking for my clothes. "Can you fine my bra please?" I said I as I grabbed my jeans and t-shirt. He handed me my bra and my underwear. I changed and we headed down stairs.
Dustin's dad was sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee. Dustin dragged me over to the fridge and started to look through it while I looked at his dad. Neither of Dustin's parents looked like him. Dustin was a brunette, tall, broad shouldered and his jaw line is nothing like Jessica or his dad. His dad had black hair with alittle grey, average hieght, smaller shoulders and a weak jaw line. His mother had blonde hair, short, frail and a strong jaw line, however not as strong as Dustin.
"You do know it's noon?" Dustin's dad sound annoyed. "What time did you two come in?"
"About 8 o'clock." Dustin didn't look up from the fridge. His dad rolled his eyes. "We talked for a while though."
"I didn't know they call it 'talking' now." His dad said looking at Dustin.
"I don't know what your talking about, you were with Jenna last night at the hotel. Mom said you were 'working late'." Dustin stood up and gave me a box of strawberries to hold before he turned to his dad. "How's letting mom know you're leaving her for one of her friend's daughter?"
His dad's face grew bright red. He slammed his coffee on the table and got up and walked out slamming the door. We heard a car start and drive out of the driveway.
"Anyway, where's your mom?" I asked to fill the awkward silence.
"She goes to chruch on Sundays." Dustin grabbed whip cream and coffee creamer out of the fridge and put them down on the counter and I put the strawberries on the counter. Dustin turned on a coffee maker and then washed the strawberries. "Grab two bowls, please."
I nodded and looked for the bowls, after three tries I found the correct coboard and put down the bowls. Dustin put whip cream and strawberries in the bowls and two spoons. He poured the coffee and we sat at the counter across from each other and ate.
We had just finished when Jesica came through the door wearing a red dress with a flowery design at the bottom amd her hair was flowing down one shoulder in a fish tail braid. "Good afternoon." She said smilimg as she went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of wine. "How was your night?" She laughed slightly.
"Good and yours?" Dustin said and put our bowls in the sink after rensing them out. She grabbed a wine glass and poured herself a glass.
"Great." She said as she put the bottle back in the fridge. "May I ask what turned you two on so much?"
"Ew mom!" Dustin jumped turning around and I was trying to hide my laughing with my hand. Jessica looked at my hand and her eyes widened.
"Is that the family ring?" She grabbed my hand and looked at the ring Dustin gave me, their family ring. A smile spread across her face. "So he proposed. It better be a lone, long engagement. You guys are, what? 14?"
"Mom, we're 17. 17!" Dustin face palmed, I laughed and Jessica squinted a little before she nodded and laughed.
"Okay, okay. I remember now." She took a sip of her wine. "Ugh how old am I? I was 24 when you were 9 so I'm 32. Ew I'm 32." She made a face, scrunching up her nose, and drained the rest of the cup and started pouring more.
Dustin rolled his eyes. "Wait you had Dustin when you were 15?" I asked shocked.
"No. My friend found him on the door step to her apartment, she gave him to me because she didn't trust herself raising a child." She shrugged and took a gulp of her wine. Dustin was looking down at his feet. "I've been taking care of him since I was 16."
"Wait what?" I looked at Dustin. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"It's not something I talk about." He shrugged.
