Chapter Sixty: "She Is Dying And I can't Do Anything About It".

Tayyal watched as his brother-in-law paced in the waiting room. He didn't know what to say to Azhar, especially when his wife was none other than his sister.

"Azhar, come and let's sit down. I know and I understand that Zianna needs a heart as hers..."

"I just found my life and now she is leaving me in the same darkness as I was before I met her. She is dying and I can't do anything about it", Azhar said, his voice breaking.

He even asked his sister to check if Zianna's name was moving, but all Iman said to him was to be patient.

"When I first met Zianna. She just turned 17 years old. I thought she was there to take away Dad. And the Mum started saying things that didn't make sense to me and Nour. While Dahlia was mesmerised by the fact that we have a sister. Dahlia became Zianna's shadow", Tayyal says, remembering the first memories they had of Zianna. "Mum hated it and did everything to make Dahlia dislike Zianna but she was barely twelve and loved having someone else and not Nour. But everything changed when Mum said Dahlia was going to a boarding school and wouldn't return until she finished her studies. Dalia was angry, unhappy with Mum's decision, but no one could go against her, not even Dad. Before Dahlia left, she made me promise to take care of and love Zianna because she is our sister. I promised. You know, Azhar, I tried protecting her but whenever I wasn't home, Mum would hurt her. She never complained to anyone, not me, and definitely not to Dad. The only thing I regret is that I didn't take her with me sooner," he added.

Tayyal didn't know that his father was listening to him.

I failed our daughter, Hania. I failed you. Ya Allah, help Zianna get a heart. I know that it's selfish of me to ask that, especially when I did all of this to her. To my beautiful wife, Hania, and my children. I know what I did is unforgivable because I lied to Nadia, Hania and our children. Ya Allah, I pray that they get their happiness, in shaa Allah.

Meanwhile, Zoya was holding her baby girl in her arms, thinking about her sister-in-law Zianna, who was lying in the hospital bed with an oxygen mask.

"Your Aunt is one of the best people I have ever met. Zianna made me feel welcome and the love that you can see in her eyes, Aizah", Zoya says to her sleeping daughter. "Don't tell your father this, but you have her eyes. Zianna's eyes", she added, placing Aizah in her crib.

My scans are clear, but why do I feel worried? Is it about my health or Zianna's? Tayyal would have called by now if anything had changed in her condition. I am thankful that I am fine, but what about Zianna?

A few days ago, Zoya handed the letters she wrote for her family to Dahlia to keep safe.

"You will know what to do when the time is right, Dalia and I want you to make sure that Tayyal reads his before anything happens..."

"Zoya, you are scaring me. What is going on? Don't tell me that you are planning something so that Zianna gets help?" Dahlia asked worriedly.

"No, Dahlia. Death will come at any time, day or night. We think we are still young, that it won't come, but age has nothing to do with death," Zoya explained to her.

"That's true. Death has no age or even time. It can come unexpectedly. Even if we are prepared or we aren't. It doesn't wait for us to get ready to die", Dahlia says, agreeing with Zoya." I will keep them and in shaa Allah you will be happy, health living with your family. And in shaa Allah I give Aizah, a brother or even a sister shortly", she added, smiling.

"In shaa Allah".

"Zoya, are you okay? You zoomed out. Are you worried about Zianna?" Nour asked, shaking Zoya's shoulder.

"I am just worried about Zia. I don't know how to help her or even get someone to help. Sometimes I wish that Aunt Hania was still alive so that Zianna would get the happiness she deserved", Zoya said.

"I understand and I wish that too, but we have to let go and make Zianna happy. In shaa Allah a miracle will happen. A miracle that will save Zianna and give her a happy and healthy life ahead. In shaa Allah", Nour replied with a smile. "Let me hold Aizah while you get some rest. I will wake you when it's time for her feeding, okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, that would be great. Thank you", Zoya said, handing the baby to Nour. She then kissed her baby's forehead and walked to her room.

As soon as Zoya lay down, she couldn't help but feel worried about Tayyal, Dahlia and Nour. Because it is their sister who is currently fighting for her life at the hospital.

Ya Allah, you know what is best for all of us. Please find someone who can help Zianna, as she helped me without even knowing. She is one of a kind. Caring without asking for anything in return.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Hayat arrived with Sameera to check on Zianna and her son's health. They both knew that Azhar hadn't left the hospital since Zianna was admitted.

Azaan would bring him clothes and try to get Azhar to eat. But all he could think about was his wife, who hadn't regained consciousness.

"Asalam Aleikum, Mamma and Aunt", Azhar stood up from where he was sitting to greet his mother and aunt.

"Waleikum salaam. How are you doing?" Hayat asked.

"I don't know Mamma. I saw her a few hours ago and she..."

Azhar's voice cracked while trying to get his words out. Hayat understood what he was saying.
Zianna came into his dark life as the bulb he needed.

And now that bulb might not gain its brightness.

"What did the doctor say? Is there a chance for her to get a donor?"
Azhar shook his head at his aunt.

"She is given less than a week to get a donor because she is getting weaker by the minute. I don't know what to do, Mamma. My wife is dying and I can't do anything about it", he says with tears in his eyes. "I can't lose her Mamma. I just can't do it", he added, breaking down.

Hayat hugged him, knowing that her son might lose the light once again.

After a few minutes, a doctor walked into the room.

"Asalam Aleikum. Sorry to intrude, but we have a match and we need your signature to proceed with the transplant", Doctor Faris Rafiq says. " There has been a car accident, the patient arrived in bad condition,n and she unfortunately died after meeting her family. She gave her family consent to donate her heart to Zianna", he explained further without revealing who the donor was.

Azhar and the doctor walked out to sign the papers. As soon as they were done, Zianna was wheeled into the operating room.

Azhar sat outside the operating room, thinking who could have died so that his wife would live.
He heard his name being called.

Azhar turned around to find someone covered in blood.

His heart broke for him, knowing that it was her heart that saved Zianna.
Who could it be? Who is the donor? And who is the man that is covered in blood?
