“So when are you going to tell us that Zianna is pregnant?”
Zianna.
It has been almost six months since Hannah and Tayyal signed the absurd contract not to see each other.
Not everyone will agree with me about what I am saying, but it is the truth.
“Zia, no. Stop whatever you are thinking. It won't work…”
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at my husband. He had been trying to stop me from telling Tayyal that the contract is nothing but stupid.
“Azhar…”
“Zianna, he asked me as his client to make that contract and he doesn't know that you know about it. Or even read it”, Azhar tells me. “Let him do what he thinks is best for himself, and don't worry about the contract. Because it is for him and not for Hannah”, he added.
“Fine, but you owe me three scoops of ice cream and…”
“Doughnuts, cinnamon rolls. Yes, I know your order by heart”, my husband added, making me smile.
“What do you think about telling our family the good news?” I asked, smiling.
“Zia, you heard what the doctor said. We need to wait until the first trimester, that's when we will announce it over dinner. But if you want to tell them, then it's okay”, Azhar says, reminding me. “We can tell our parents and then later tell our siblings, is that okay?” He asked, holding my hands.
“Okay, let's just wait. It is almost up anyway. And it won't be fair for our siblings not knowing about it”, I tell him. “Besides, it is always my dream to celebrate this with my family “, I added, smiling.
Azhar smiled and got his phone to order my insane cravings. But I won't tell him that they aren't cravings just yet but foods that he wouldn't let me have when I was sick.
“Done, what else do you want?” He asked me, smiling. “It is almost time for you to go and see Mamma. Remember she wants to talk to you”, he added, reminding me.
“You do realise that I can't hide your baby from Mamma?” I asked.
“So it's my baby…?”
“Yes, because he/she will make sure that I know it. And he/she will start bothering me…”
“How about we just tell Mamma about my baby?” He asked, interrupting my rant. “I know that you miss Mamma especially at this time. So why don't you tell Mamma about it?” He added, smiling.
I never imagined my life would be like this. I am not saying that I am not happy but I do miss my Mamma especially during this time.
But I am thankful that I have the best family that I could ask for.
I nodded and smiled.
“Now, it is time for us to get ready and also time for your ‘craving’ delivery to arrive”, he said, air-quoting the word ‘craving’. “Yes, I knew that you weren't craving yet. Didn't you forget my sister and sister-in-law were expecting at the same time? And they didn't have cravings yet”, he added, looking at me.
“Oh come, you didn't let me have them when I was sick. So now I…your baby needs them. So it is cravings”, I said, pouting.
“Okay, fine. But don't tell Mamma about what I said. She will scold me and…”
“I will definitely tell her…”
“Zianna, come on. You know how she gets, and if you don't tell her, I promise to let you have the cravings all by yourself”, he said. “You know she will take your side”, he added.
