The Letters That Zoya Left Behind For Her Family.

First Letter To Zianna (part one)

A few weeks have passed since Zianna was discharged from the hospital.

Everyone has been trying to be normal around her and Aizah, but this was somewhat impossible to do, especially when everyone could feel the hole that Zoya has left.

But Dahlia didn't let anyone feel sad as she started distributing the letters that Zoya had left for her family. Each letter was addressed by name and Dalia needed to give Zianna hers as it was time for her to read it.

Her father got a letter and so did Zianna.
And the important letters are to Tayyal, Aizah and Tayyal's future wife.

Dahlia was confused, but she couldn't ask Zoya, as it wouldn't have been appropriate, especially when she was recovering from the treatment.

Zianna was playing with Aizah when Dahlia handed her an envelope with her name written on it.

“What is this?” Zianna asked.

“It is from Zoya. She left me a few letters before she died and told me to give them out when they were needed. And now it is time you need it”, Dahlia said. “I will take Aizah with me, so you can read the letter”, she added, taking the baby in her arms.

After Dalia walks out of the room, Zianna looks at the envelope that has her name written in Zoya's handwriting.

It felt so unreal to hold something that her best friend and sister left for her.
Zianna caressed the letter and slowly opened it without tearing the envelope.

Inside the envelope, there was a letter and a picture of the two of them at the park when they went for a picnic that Tayyal had organised.

Tears started to form in her eyes as she saw the smile on Zoya's face.

It was the same as Aizah's.

She placed the picture aside and opened the letter to start reading it.

My dear sister and best friend,
You are reading this because I am not alive.

I wanted to make you happy one last time. You deserve all the happiness and love. I gave Dalia the letters not only because I trust her, but also because she will know when it is the right time when someone needs the letter.

You are my best friend, ever since we met, I have never stopped thinking that one day you will find your happiness. And Alhamdulillah you did.

You got married to an amazing man who loves you just the way you are. When Tayyal told me about your medical condition, I made a promise to myself that I would find the best doctors to treat you. I would even give you my heart.

Because I know you would cherish, care and love it.
Zianna, I know that it would be hard for you not to see me alive but always remember that you and I will always be sisters.

Take care of yourself, Zia. And always remember that you are loved by everyone.

You became the person I needed in my life. Don't tell Tayyal this, but you are my favourite person to see and talk to every single day.
