Noah's pov:
Being around him made me feel better.
Just seeing him made everything go away.
He was sleeping sat up, his arm around me, i must've dozed off, but i didn't want to move.
But if i didn't, she might just walk in at any moment and think I'm cheating.
So i lifted his arm up, getting off the bed as i gently picked up his awfully light body, laying him down properly, his mouth moves, lips rubbing together before it stays open, out of insinict, i lay a kiss on his forehead.
I don't know why i did that.
But i felt better doing it.
I fixed up my hair, going downstairs and making sure i shut the door, i don't even remember him coming back home to me.
"Noah." my mother calls me from the kitchen as i reach the final step
"Yes, ma?" i walk into the kitchen
"You need to speak to your father, right this moment." she commands
"Yes, ma." i nod, leaving to go to the living room where he stayed, reading a newspaper
"You wanted to see me, father?" i whisper
This never ended well if we were alone.
I hope Michael wakes up and doesn't come looking for me.
"Yes." he places his newspaper down, patting me seat, i come over to sit
"How are you and Akari?" he asks
"Fine." i lied
"The business may be falling apart." translation, it's perfectly fine, but you need to get ready to take over
"Why?" i sit up properly
"People aren't liking the new designs-" he continues listing the issues
"I'm sorry, father, i hope you find something to help revive it."
"You and Akari are taking over our business, me and your mother are retiring."
"What? What do you mean?"
"You two need to get married."
"What? No, no, no we don't, I'm only eighteen, father."
"You don't have any say, this is my decision."
"This isn't the olden days, father, i have a right to choose what i want, i don't want to marry her!"
"Do not, raise your voice at me." he grabs hold of my wrist, gripping tightly as his nail digs into my skin.
Don't show it hurts.
"I don't want to marry Akari." i repeat myself
"You guys are perfect for each other, you will marry her, next month."
"No, i don't care."
Hand to my face and now I'm on the floor.
He'd gaslighting, explaining how much he's done for me, kicking and hitting me, till Akari comes in and acts like she cares, i push her off me and leave them, about to open my door, i notice someone hiding.
"Michael."
He peeks through, standing up as he rushes over to me, i pull him inside my room.
