Family AU part 2

Bit short cause i didn't have much motivation to write as much, the next might be longer hopefully.

Noah's pov:
Seeing how afraid Michael was unfortunately struck something in me.

I don't know what it was.

I just felt the sudden urge to care for him, look after him, protect him.

They weren't evil, but i could tell in his eyes, his expression, he was so scared.

Course i was afraid as well, they're just two random strangers who sprang up one day and said, "hey we're your biological parents, my bad for ditching you guys, but we're here now."

But if he was scared, i couldn't show i was, of course I'd admit it to him that i was scared, i trusted Michael with my entire life.

He was basically my brother.

Twin brother almost.

We were born on the exact same day.

Even in his sleep he was afraid, that was the only time he was genuinely calm, you could see the peace in his face, but not this time.

Furrowed eyebrows, distressed expression, saddened lips, gripping onto me.

I held him closer to me, trying to loosen his grip onto me since he was almost ripping off my skin, he whines in his sleep but I hush him down.

I could hear whispers, hissing, curious but not
wanting to leave him all alone, i get off the bed, holding his body in my arms as i sneak out his bedroom, it was coming from downstairs.

Michael stirs again, lifting his head up.

"Sshh, it's okay, go back to sleep." i whisper, gently laying his head back down

"What are you doing? So early." he yawned

"I wanna know what they're saying." i respond

"Quit being nosy and go back to bed, I'm tired."

"Go back to bed on your own then."

"No, your my teddy bear now, deal with it." he snuggles up closer to me

"Whatever, shut up now."

I listen in, sitting at the top of the stairs as i lean in against the handles.

They were on about the dna test.

"Then we should tell them." my so called mother says

"I will."

"You don't sound so sure."

"Idonea, he's my son, he's the only thing i have left of Victoria."

"I know, i know, but what if they don't want to stay?"

"Then that's their decision, you can't change them, we've already messed with them enough, they need a break."

"Should we check on them? See if they're awake?" she asks

Shit.

I get back up and stay stood, before i hear them getting out, so i rush back into our room, sitting back down onto the bed, i didn't even bother with Michael because he slept weirdly regardless.

I pretend to go on my new phone, we'd had phones in the centre, but were strictly used.

It felt weird staying here, knowing those fuckass rules don't exist anymore.
