Michael's pov:
The sound of the wind blowing against my blinds woke me up, i turned onto my back and grumbled to myself, i probably left the window open last night, just as i turned to see Noah, who was now my husband after a long process of getting my family to accept him, i noticed he wasn't there, I huffed in frustration as i tried to go back to sleep when my door opened to Noah who seemed to be on the phone with somebody annoying since he didn't look pleased.

"But it still doesn't make any sense at all, how could it be me?" he sighed, sitting down on the mattress his back facing towards me.

Out of curiosity, i sat up and crawled over to him, wrapping my arms around him as i leaned my head on his shoulder to hear exactly what was going on, he leaned into my touch, his hand on mine.

"Well apparently it is the case but to be sure we recommend you take a test to be sure." a lady on the phone said, i frowned in complete confusion as he pinched the bridge of his nose, another sigh being let out of him.

"Alright, fine." he ended the call, he waited a few moments before looking at me and leaning back on my shoulder.

"What's got you all stressed so early?" i tinted my head

"Some social worker came this morning, claiming i have a four year old daughter." now i don't think i ever expected to hear those words to be uttered, especially this early and i can tell he didn't either by my reaction.

"What?" i blinked at him, lips slightly parted

"Tell me about it, apparently I've been neglecting her but I didn't even know i had a kid, you remember when i told you about my ex, Diana right?" i rolled my eyes at the name, i did not like her at all she was a huge pain in the arse.

"Well i guess it does make sense, you said you guys broke up in 2022." i shrugged

"But still, I'd expect her to be the type to still try and ruin my life with the child if she was pregnant, i don't know why she kept it a secret."

"Does she know about me?" i asked

"I don't think so and it can't be because of that, the neighbors had reported her to the police when they realized she'd been neglecting my so called daughter." he plays with my hair

"So what are you going to do?" i gulped to hide my true feelings

"I guess I'll take the paternity test but it probably is mine, i did sleep with her a few days before i called our relationship off, then I don't know what I'll do." he shrugged at me

"But you can't just keep the girl like that, she doesn't deserve that."

"But you don't deserve to suddenly have the responsibility to look after someone else's kid, someone's going to think i cheated on you."

"But i don't think that, well maybe if the baby was a newborn then yeah, but she's four so it makes sense."

"We'll figure it out, I'll go in today and take the test, alright?" he kissed my cheek as i nodded.

A few days later, it was just me alone downstairs making pasta when a letter came through the post, i knew what the letter was going to say already but i still rushed over to see it, turning the stove onto low heat.

"What's that?" Noah suddenly appears behind me

"It's for you." i handed it to him as he sighs, opening up the letter.
