Zombie AU

Michael's pov:
Three years ago, a massive infection broke out.

Stupid scientists who tried to bring out the dead, came out of zombies.

Obviously they aren't as smart as my father, but you could say i was classed as a zombie.

So because they'd started to try hurt my family, my father created a group, the ZET, the zombie elimination team.

From all the training I'd ever had since i was three, i was his best skilled sniper, no he's not just saying that because I'm his son.

I really was a good shooter, i loved guns, they did the job quickly, but the entire point of this group wasn't to kill zombies, well, unless they're annoying.

Father was good in science, if he didn't already have a job as the late underboss, he told me he actually would've become a scientist.

But he had a cure, one that could turn these zombies into normal human beings, obviously immortal but at least your not eating brains.

In total, we'd saved seventy thousand zombies and now they were living happy lives, but I'd taken a huge break after that, to find myself, i stills couldn't.

So here i am again, fighting and tackling down zombies.

Not everyone really agrees with our group, they don't want zombies really living, so they try to murder them off.

I'd saved a total of one thousand people and sent them off to a hospital where my mother worked at to cure them and that was all in one hour, i was very fast, but fighting zombies weren't that easy, they'd obviously want to eat me.

"Hey." someone touches my shoulder as i flinch, only to realize it was Maisie

"Sorry, hey, you okay?" i tilt my head

"Mm, fine."

Things had been extremely awkward ever since we'd ended things off a year ago, it's been rough i guess, we were both hurt, but it wasn't like we'd ended things off on bad terms, we'd both noticed it, we were much better as best friends.

Still awkward.

"What's wrong? You should be at the hospital." i put in some more ammo into my gun

"There's going to be lots of casualties, i need you to stop the number, we're running out of space and your mother's stressing." she explains

"What's gonna happen?" i furrow my eyebrows

"An explosion, dunno who's planning it, I've just overheard it, help them, please." she holds onto my arm

"Okay, okay, don't worry, where is gonna be based?" i hold onto her shoulders

"Near the shore."

"Okay, I'll go, don't worry, tell my mother not to worry." i tuck her hair behind her ear

"Thank you." she cracks a smile

"How are you doing, by the way?" i ask her

"Fine, I'm talking with Aiden, again." she shrugs

"And he's being nice?"

"Yeah, he's changed, Michael."

"I'm happy for you, Maisie, really." i smile

"So your not one of those controlling ex's?"

"No, i want you to be happy, Maisie and let's keep the ex thing between us, I'd rather be your best friend." i wink
