Bullied AU

Idea from - @UrAverageaJoelIsHere with like a few changes because well i can't really make Noah/Michael act differently than how they already are just cause well, it doesn't work out so oopss 😛🤚
Also the person that gave me this idea, what I'm gonna do is use your idea, but from how you've placed the time periods, I'm gonna a little switcharoo to give it some more depth and angst.

Michael's pov:
"I'm not going in." i groan, hiding under my bed covers

"It's a new year, get over it, you look fine." Maisie tries to get me out of the bed

It was our first day of year ten and i really couldn't be bothered.

"No, i have this huge ass pimple on my face, no."

"Let me see." she yanks my duvet onto the floor, i whine at the sudden breeze hitting my bare arms and legs.

I was only wearing a white tank top and some random black shorts.

"It's not even that bad, come on, I'll pop it for you." she pulls on my hand to sit me up

"I'm still gonna look ugly." i frown

"Do you want the honest truth?" she drags me
into the bathroom as she starts squishing my face

"What is it?"

"Last year and you right now are two completely different people, you've changed, Michael, if those little raccoons still wanna make fun of you, then let them, be a new person, Michael, you've changed, look wise, but now it's time for the personality wise." i wince at the sudden pain
when she pops my pimple and wipes it clean

"I guess you could say that." i check my waist

"Stop being insecure, you look beautiful." she leans on my shoulder

But no matter how many times people would say that to me, i don't think I'd ever believe it, especially if it was something I'd constantly get made fun for.

But this time i gave up, i changed myself completely, i didn't look like the same boy i was before.

Before i was chubby, acne prone, messy hair, chubby, chubby, glasses.

Now I'd lost so much weight i had so many other difficulties, i was almost paper thin, i could see every bone, every stupid scar, my skin cleared up and i didn't really need glasses but i still wore them just because apparently they suit me more.

I had to size down so much for my uniform, my father was getting worried, but i told him it was fine, i didn't want him to know especially about how bad it got.

So would you guys wanna know what happened?

Me and Noah we're childhood friends, we were fine, with our group of four, me, him, Maisie and Aiden, until our second year of high school happened.

A girl that was close to Noah's family joined our school, her name was Akari, now i don't know whether Noah wanted her or if he was forced to date her, because the line blurs there, but since they got together, she practically controlled his every move.

Now because of her, she'd made rumours about me and Maisie, now him and Aiden left us, they make fun of us but Maisie always pretended she never cared, despite the fact she's heartbroken over Aiden, but with me, i was overly sensitive, Noah was my closest friend, i loved him, secretly, now he's gone.

So over this summer break we'd changed how we looked, in hopes they'd leave us alone even though it wouldn't work, bullies stay doing what they want to their targets, nothing will ever change.
