Alessia's pov:

"Is everything okay, Love?"

Napunta sa kanya ang tingin ko. And after everything we've been through, I still couldn't believe it, we found our way back to each other.

After all those years filled with silence, distance, and pain... she's still the woman I would come back to. Always.

Oo, nasaktan niya ako. Pero nasaktan ko rin siya. At siguro, 'yan talaga ang katotohanan. love isn't all smiles and sweet mornings. Hindi lang ito puro kilig at tawanan. It breaks you. It shapes you. And if you're lucky, it rebuilds you, too.

There are so many kinds of love in this world. But ours? Ours is like an ugly painting by a famous painter. Messy. Flawed. Misunderstood. A piece most people wouldn't bother to admire, much less understand. But to the one who painted it, to the one who lived every brushstroke of its chaos, it's priceless.

To me, she is a masterpiece amidst the chaos beautiful, priceless, and eternal. In every universe I could ever exist, I would spend lifetimes admiring her, and still never grow weary.

I will promise her that she would never regret choosing me to be with her in painting our future together.

I love you, Serene. Today, tomorrow, and every day after that.

"Hey, are you alright?" The concern on her face was inevitable, etched in her eyes, curled on the edge of her lips. She looked at me like I was a fragile thing pretending to be okay.

I smiled faintly and nodded. I reached up to gently tuck the loose strands of hair that framed her beautiful face, letting my fingers linger for a second before pressing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"I'm fine," I said softly. "It's just... I still can't believe any of this."

She arched a brow, studying me with those sharp, suspicious eyes. "Is there something you're not telling me?"

I quickly shook my head and slung an arm around her shoulders, like I wasn't seconds away from falling apart. We were still in her office, she wanted to talk to me, so I agreed.

Tatanggi paba ako?

She leaned in closer, her face now only inches away from mine. And that look she gave me, sharp, unblinking, it made my pulse stutter. Panic started to crawl in my chest. parang mahihimatay ako any moment!

parang kinikilig din pati iyong tyan ko e!

She stared at me seriously, that made me gulped.
"Did you really think I wouldn't notice someone watching me?" she finally asked, her voice low and laced with certainty. "I knew he was working for you... because I saw him." She paused. "At the hospital. Three years ago. The day you got into that accident." She tilted her head. "Now tell me the truth... why are they following me?"

Hindi ako makagalaw.

I underestimated her.

She's Aia. brilliant, intuitive, terrifyingly sharp. I should've known better.

Huminga ako nang malalim. Should I tell her?
No. I couldn't. Anger won't let me sleep at night, the pain, and guilt wont left me.
