22: Box of memories

Alaia's pov:

Serene

I read the name that was engraved on this wooden box.

My heart beat fast, parang may kung anong pakiramdam ang biglang dumaloy sa kalooban ko, excitement, sadness, regrets...gosh, hindi kona rin alam.

Tumayo ako at naglakad patungo sa study table ni Sia para rito kona buksan ang box. Nang makaupo ako ay dahan-dahan ko itong binuksan.

My eyes widened as I was greeted by a lot of pictures, some of which were old while others seemed new.

I took them all out and examined each one carefully. Each photo had a date written on the bottom. I chose the oldest one based on the dates. Kahit medyo kinakabahan ay pinagmasdan ko pa rin ang larawan na hawak ko ngayon.

Isang babae ang nasa litrato nakangiti ito habang naka peace sign pa, hindi ito nakatingin sa camera, those beautiful brown eyes, pointed nose, and her cute smile, she looks familiar to me. It took me like five minutes to recognized where did I saw this girl until I realized...it was Sia.

Natandaan ko na may nakita nga pala akong picture niya sa hacienda noon. Oh gosh, she's beautilful.

While I was staring at it, I noticed that there was something written on the back of the photo.

"Hi crush, by the way, i'm Serene, but you can call me pretty nalang. I took this picture because na love at first sight yata ako sayo huhuhu, you're always with my cousin Rei panget, but that's okay, mas maganda naman ako sakanya eh.

Lovelots from your beautiful admirer!"

I chuckled while tears started to fell from my eyes, it was embarrasing! I knew it was me who wrote this letter, gosh.

Para akong tanga, tatawa pagkatapos ay iiyak.

I picked up another photo. Ngayon naman ay kasama niya na si Rei at nagtatawanan sila sa picture, gosh! Am i that head over heels for her? My old self was creepy as fuck!
