33: Justice

Alessia's pov:

"Sia!"

"Let me go!"

"Love!"

That voice... the one I knew too damn well.

My gaze instantly swept across the room, heart pounding violently against my chest as if it was trying to break free, and then I saw her.

She was crying.

The moment my eyes landed on her trembling figure, something inside me softened despite the chaos raging in my chest.

But, it didn't last.

Because the sight of who was holding her replaced every trace of tenderness with burning rage and bitterness.

This bastard.

Koby raised his hand lazily, waving at me like this was some kind of casual reunion.

"What's up, Cous?" he said with a sarcastic smile that instantly made my blood boil.

I clenched my jaw hard enough to feel my teeth grind against each other. I wanted to end him right there and then. I want to tear him apart with my bare hands.

But I couldn't.

Not now.

I couldn't let my anger win when Aia's life was hanging on a thin, fragile thread.

"Talagang nagkasundo pa ang mag-amang  manyakis," I said coldly, my voice steady despite the anger inside me.

I knew exactly which nerve I struck.

Kiel suddenly stood up, his movement sharp and violent, then pointed his gun directly at Aia's head.

My heart dropped.

Fuck.

Every muscle in my body went rigid as panic clawed its way up my throat.

Kiel smirked, clearly enjoying the fear he was trying to pull out of me.

alam na alam niya ang kahinaan ko.

He threw a brown envelope infront of me "Just sign the contract, and I will let this bitch live. Great offer, right?" He said smiling. as though he was a king, and I would just do everything he said.

The way he smiled made my stomach twist. Hindi iyon offer. It was bait.

Ulol. Neknek mo.

"Subukan mong saktan siya," mahina pero matalim ang boses ko. "Kahit sa impyerno, susundan kita."

He chuckled. The men around him followed, an ugly chorus of arrogance echoing through the place.

"Ako pa talaga ang tinakot mo—"

A suppressed shot cracked from somewhere above.

Kiel screamed.

His leg jerked violently as blood burst from his thigh. He collapsed sideways, gun skidding across the concrete.

That was the cue.

"MOVE!" sigaw ni Von.

Gunfire erupted.

Pero mas lumala ang sitwasyon.

Koby grabbed Aia from behind, arm locking around her neck, nakatutok ang baril sa sentido niya.

"Tumigil kayo! Papatayin ko siya!" sigaw niya, nanginginig ang boses at pilit na tinatago ang takot niya.

Everything slowed down.
