Touchdown Battles

Today was the day Goku and I were arriving on Namek. I was absolutely riddled with anxiety and kept tapping my feet. Goku and I had mastered a hundred times gravity, so we actually felt prepared. In the two days we had left, Goku taught me the Kaio-Ken technique.

Goku's hand found my shoulder, and he spoke to me.

"It's gonna be alright Y/n. You'll get to the bottom of it."

I touched his hand. "Thanks Goku."

I didn't believe him at all.

"Ready to land?" He asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah."

When we were training, I felt Vegeta's power level spike, fall to nothing, and slowly rise to something more. Now, his power level was higher than ever. He seemed to be fighting someone stronger than him, and something deep inside of me cared about his well-being. I saw the green planet come into view, and my stomach dropped. Gravity hit us again as we slammed into the green planet.

"So much for a graceful landing," I muttered as I got up.

Goku and I stood together as we looked at Namek for the first time.

I blinked. "Is it always this barren?"

Vegeta... I thought.

"And Krillin and Gohan, and five other large Ki," Goku said, "Hold on guys we're coming. Let's put this training to the test."

We flew to the place where the most ki was, and I assessed the scene. The first person I noticed was Vegeta on the ground looking at me. Goku and I went to Gohan and Krillin.

"What the fuck is going on?" I asked, "Where's Bulma?"

"She's safe," Gohan said.

Goku fed the two of them senzu beans and then gave me one.

I walked over to Vegeta and squatted so he was looking at my eyes.

"Eat this," I told him.

He stared at me in disbelief. "You don't really think I'd-"

"I don't want to die because your shitty pride got in the way of you taking care of yourself, so eat it," I snapped.

He finally accepted it and stood up.

"I won't be thanking you."

"I didn't expect you too."

Krillin broke our eye contact.

He said, "You're gonna fight alone?"

Oh right, we were in the middle of a battle.

Goku stood in front of a big orange guy.

It's not possible! Could he have become.. Vegeta looked shocked.

I blinked. "What?" I asked.
