TWO YEARS LATER

Y/n rolled over in bed and opened her eyes. Her husband was smiling at her. She closed her eyes and rubbed them.

"I haven't even done anything; why are you smiling?" She groaned.

He replied, "I can't smile at my wife on her birthday?"

Y/n immediately stopped.

"How did you know?" She whispered and opened her eyes.

He said, "Kakarrot had to tell me."

Y/n covered her face with her hands, but Vegeta pulled them away.

"I'm not mad; I just wanna know why you never told me," he said.

She sighed. "I just... I don't know. I really didn't care about birthdays because I didn't know who my parents were."

He put a lock of raven hair behind her ear, and she looked at him.

"Happy birthday," he said quietly.

She responded against his lips, "Thank you."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Y/n jumped and peered over Vegeta. The twins were covered in flour, as they proudly presented a lopsided cake. Y/n laughed, and Vegeta looked at her.

"You're both so cute!" Y/n said as she got out of bed to greet them.

Akiko started, "We know our birthday!"

"Yeah," Tsuneo continued, "Why'd it take us eleven years to figure out yours?"

Y/n laughed once more and kissed them both loudly on the cheek.

"Thank you, my loves," she told them.

She got some cake on her finger and tried it out.

"Hmm, not bad. But let's set this down in the kitchen okay?"

Her children nodded eagerly and walked out the door. She turned around, and Vegeta held her in her arms.

"Have I told you how beautiful you are?"

"Ugh, shut up... yes, yes you have."

She raised up to kiss him, and he wrapped her in his arms.

"Yuck! Just eat the cake!" Tsuneo yelled from the doorway.

The married couple turned to look at their son with a disgusted look on his face, and Y/n chuckled.

"Fine, fine. I will eat your cake," Y/n said, held Vegeta's hand, and led him downstairs.

The couple immediately stopped once they saw the sight of the kitchen.

We are never letting them do this again. Vegeta said.

Uh huh.

"Bulma, I truly hate this."

"Oh come on, Y/n. how many times does someone turn forty once?! You still don't look a day past twenty!" She exclaimed.

Y/n replied, "Um, I'm sorry? I literally can't help that."

"Oh hush," Bulma told her.

"You said we would just hang out today! I don't understand why I'm blindfolded."
