Sans stood frozen, knowing if they didn't think of something fast, this was going to sour quickly. "What is the meaning of this? Why this spell? What souls could you possibly be trying to raise from the dead... Cairo?" Cairo tried to straighten himself up, tried to make himself a little more presentable as a soldier. "I am not, you're majesty.... This is all a misunderstanding." He tried to explain, but Asgore wasn't having it. "I'm afraid that there is no explaining your way out of this, please, come willingly or I will be forced to do this the hard way." Sans shook his head. "asgore, buddy, we really ain't looking to use the spell, we are looking to -" Asgore planted firm hands on their shoulders. "We, Sans? You are involved?"
"No, not at all. It was me, only me. I tricked Sans into this." Cairo said suddenly. "cairo, what are you-"
"You really thought I wanted to see your precious Underground?" Sans sockets widened as Cairo sneered. "With that scroll, I could bring back my entire clan! All it would take is a few souls, and you and your brother? You were supposed to be my first victims."

Cairo really hated cars. After Asgore got that false confession out of him, Cairo didn't struggle, and Sans was too stunned to move. Sans couldn't really blame him, Cairo had put his best into that performance. Besides, once Asgore found out the truth? Found out he was a necro... maybe he would know how to reverse the curse. For now, all he had to worry about was not throwing up in his magesties car. "It is a real shame, you know. You seem like a nice fellow. But a spell like that constitutes a death sentence. Are you aware of what the Necromancer Spell even does?" Asgore asked, and Cairo really had to swallow hard to keep his cool. "It exchanges.... a soul for a soul... l-life for a life..." He replied to Asgore. "Would it have been worth it? To take lives? Where did you learn of the spell?" Asgore demanded, knowing that Cairo was struggling. "The.... war... it was... it was used in... the war." Cairo groaned, unable to hold it in as he threw up on the seats. He supposed it was just another thing to get a charge for.
⚔️⚔️⚔️
Cairo couldn't have been more happy to lay in a prison cell. Asgore still had to talk with the human leaders about the Necromancer Spell and what to do with him, so it was just Cairo and his cell mates. "What are you in for?" One guy asked Cairo as he laid there on the ice cold floor. "Attempting to cast an illegal spell that exchanges a living soul for a dead one. You?" They all gave Cairo a look, some backing further away. Cairo could only chuckle unamused. As if all that crap was true. At least he didn't have to worry about getting killed again... though, honestly, if it happened, it's not like it would matter. At least Asgore would see the truth and be more willing to listen to reason than he was right now. He could understand, now, why the Queen left him. When he had something in his head, it was all he was willing to listen to. Cairo sat himself up slowly, still sick with nausea. There was no doubt... Sans, Papyrus, and Alphys had all gotten together, too, to try and figure out how to free him. Well, there was nothing he could do. Nothing but wait, anyway.
