The lights were already on when Annie got to work. It always lifted her soul, and quietly, she hoped it was her dear working, Cairo. She knew better, though. She had been to his dusting ceremony. She knew that that one little fellow with the blue hoodie had taken a shining to visiting and refurbishing so that she had a little less work to do. He always insisted upon not getting paid, but at this point, Annie was direct depositing his wage to his bank account for his good work. "Good morning, Sans." She called as she unlocked the door and went into the back. Where there was a second skeleton with him. "Oh, and you brought Papyrus with you today! Good morning to you." Papyrus beamed up as he picked up a newly refurbished child's bed. "GOOD MORNING MRS. ANNIE MAY!" He chirped while Sans dusted himself off. "morning. gotta lot done with pap's help. how you doing? holding up, ok?" Annie tutted as she put her purse down. "I should be asking you that, boys. Did you get any sleep last night?" They both nodded quickly. "We Were Just Up Early And Wanted Something To Do, Ma'am! Royal Guards Honor!" Sans chuckled along. "ya should know by now, i can do that with my eyes closed." Annie giggled with him. "Oh, you boys -"

After Annie was settled into work, Sans dropped off Papyrus and headed to his own. Gaster, Alphys, and that Whittaker guy was there with his daughter. "How are you, Dr. Gaster? Alphys told me you recently lost a son..." The doc looked up from his wheelchair- he was still recuperating after all - and sighed. "I have not. Alphys needs to stop spreading false rumors." The kid grabbed onto the armrest of the wheelchair for Gaster's attention. "Then what did happen to Mr. Cairo? I haven't seen him or Alphy's human friend in a month!" Dr. Whittaker flinched at that, still having a lot of regrets in regards to those... whatever they were. "we set him free... you see, mr. cairo and mr. sam was kinda forced here and they were really tired. so we let 'em go." The little girl looked over, making an 'oh' shape with her mouth. "So we will never see them again?" She asked, "or can they visit?" Dr. Gaster and Sans shared a look. "We will all be able to see them again, someday."

During lunch, they met Papyrus and Undyne at the site. Samuel Bennett's gravesite. Another marker had been planted opposite to the humans body for Cairo and the dust was spread around to join Sam, but nobody minded. Undyne and Papyrus were already hard at work cleaning the markers up and Sans got Gaster his crutches. "Sans, do you suppose he is watching over us now? Gaster asked as he got to a Shaky stand. Sans was quick to help his old man out. "oh, 100%. probz with mom." Gaster looked up at the bright sun and blue skies where big fluffy white clouds drifted lazily by. "I suppose you'd be correct..." Undyne yelled from the gravesite. "Hey boneheads! You just gonna stand there or help us!" Their attention snapped back to Undyne and Papyrus. "HONESTLY, BROTHER, IF I KNEW YOU WERE JUST GOING TO LAZE ABOUT THE REST OF THE DAY, I WOULDN'T HAVE LET YOU COME TO ANNIE'S!" Sans chuckled and let Gaster take lead. "hate to break it to ya, but i'd go whether you liked it or not!" Sans called back. Gaster smiled despite their location. He missed Cairo greatly, but this wasn't so bad. Besides... they would meet again. Someday.
So, you may be asking me, why the heck necromancy for an Undertale book? My answer? I have no idea- I'm like. 90% sure I borrowed some inspiration from @FireHedgehog book of Story ideas? Anyway, I tried to use him for Undertale DND and that failed pretty quickly so I was like, "Why not just give the dude a book?" So I did. Tada! Anyway, hope yall have a good morning/afternoon/night!
