Cairo was plain confused by anime. Having not watched a film since the 1930s, it made sense. Sure, he'd seen commercials and such over the years, and his brothers and their movie stuff, but this was a ballgame that he wasn't aware of. The animation was different from what he'd seen previously, and he did his best to try and pay attention and understand what was happening within the television. After a time, Cairo started to feel stiff. He didn't know how the others could simply sit and watch. It was so difficult! Cairo had to get up and stretch, walk around a little. The old skeleton stretched out as he walked, trying to loosen up his limbs and crack his back. He had thought they were alone until he heard something down the hall, and while you could take the monster out of the war.... Cairo prepared himself in case it was one of those thieves he'd heard tale of and seen not too long ago at his own place of work. He wouldn't allow for anyone else his brothers knew go through such an experience again. And went to go see what was happening.

The threat came in the form of a little girl. A while coated man was reassuring her as she held her head. His tag told that he was a worker here, Dr. Whittaker. Cairo took human form without thinking, and Sam moved into address the situation. "Is she alright?" The doctor jumped, looking up at the complete stranger. "Who are you-?" Dr. Whittaker demanded, holding the child closer. "Samuel Bennett... im a friend of Dr. Alphys." He seemed to relax, telling Sam that this was a normal occurrence. "Ah, yes. Dr. Alphys. She has a lot of friends for being as socially awkward as she is. Honestly, good on her. Rach is fine though, just bumped her head using the chair how it shouldn't be used." He gave her a stern look, and she whimpered. "Sorry, Daddy..." She apologized, and Sam could relax farther. She was the doctors child. Good. He still ran a check, just to make sure, but their story checked out. "Glad to hear, I'm sorry for just barging in like this." Dr. Whittaker accepted the apology easily. "You were just a concerned citizen. Thank you for checking in on us." With one more goodbye, Sam headed back, taking skeleton form once more.

"how went the wandering?" Sans whispered as Cairo went to take his place. "It went just fine." Cairo whispered back. Sans gave him a chill thumbs up before his skull fell back to sleep. Cairo rolled his eyelights and relaxed back to see what he missed in the time he was gone. He relaxed, forgetting that this was a facility and there were cameras everywhere. He relaxed, not knowing that he'd been caught switching on one of them to be more approachable with Dr. Whittaker and his daughter. He relaxed, not knowing that by the next morning, the footage would be reviewed, and that it could be given to the authorities, to the king, or to the highest bidder on the black market, depending on the morals of the guard watching. That trouble was approaching, and he and his little brothers would have to be ready. Because they all knew the stakes that came with protecting and living with a highly illegal and banned necro. And the king would surely follow through, despite the years it had been since he'd been reborn.
