After handcuffing him and dragging him along to with me, we stopped at the nearest hotel for the night. I still kept a close eye on him, I watched his every move, even though there weren't many. I could see the kid suffering inside and out but I had no other choice to keep him hostage, he knew where my main target was, I wasn't going to loose any changes in finding him.
When we got to our room, I forcefully pushed the kid down on the bed as he froze with fear, afraid of what my next move was.
"You stay there and keep quiet, got it?" I angrily commanded him and he quickly nodded. With still glaring at him, I walked over to the window and looked out. My mind was stuck, it couldn't process anymore and that made me more pissed. How could I've been so close to my main goal to find out that it wasn't what I was really looking for?
Devin... Never in a million years would I have thought that it was him the whole time. Why? That was the one question that I wanted to ask him before I killed him with my own hands. I didn't care if I just saw him, he was dead to me. As I glanced over at the kid, who was passed out on the bed, I rolled my eyes and looked back at the window, sighing deeply. I should probably get some sleep myself, but something made me just wait. I was still in shock of this twist, of how much more this mission has been. I shook my head though, I shouldn't get ahead of myself. I still had to get to my destination, which I hope the kid will bring me to the right place, or I'll find it myself, like I was in the beginning of this whole mess. I took a deep breath as I sat in the chair next to the window, still looking out. I wondered how Jess would've taken the news, knowing that her own brother who we just saw not that long ago was a killer. It was pathetic but by now knowing the truth, I couldn't just stop here. As I looked out the window, I could feel my eyes drop. I suppose I should let them, since I had a little break right now. So after a deep yawn, I relaxed down in my chair and started to catch some z's before it was too late.

As I was sleeping, something seemed uneven. My body was tensed but I was too drained to do anything about it. But when my heart started beating deeper, my eyes shot opened and quickly glanced around to see if there was something actually out there. Everything seemed the same, other than the colder air coming through the vents. But still, something wasn't right. So I decided to slowly get up and check around, but as I got up, all of body's senses perked up. My breath shortened and sped up, fear was getting to me that I couldn't do a thing, I was frozen still. That wasn't until I felt the sharp pain in my stomach again, I clenched my sides again but as soon as I did, I could smell something like some sticky alcohol. My body started to power down as I felt someone's touch catch me before I lost all control of my senses.
I didn't know how long I was out nor where I was but I knew something was off. When my body started to revive, I tried to move but something was holding me tight, uncomfortably tight. I shook my head a couple of times to focus my vision on the area but the area was pitch black, hearing mumbling as I turned my head sharp in all directions. My heart was still wasn't slowing down, in fact it was speeding up, with the same as my breathing. I was intoxicated with fear and confusion. What the heck happened when I fell asleep? I knew I should've stayed awake to keep an eye out! I shook my head in disappointment. How could've I let myself slip through the cracks?
The mumbling got quieter as I heard footsteps come close to me. I forced my incredibly sore body look up but as soon as I did, bright lights came on that blinded my eyes. After adjusting to the blinding lights, I could see a familiar face smirking at me. My heart stopped as my eyes widened. Devin.
"Glad you can join us Nicholas." He said, still with that stupid smirk on his face as he was kneeling in front of me. I could see that I was surrounded by men three times my size, which made my fear grow more. How the heck was I supposed to get the hell out of here with these guys, with my strength still worn down? I couldn't, there was no point. I was stuck and I was probably going to get killed.
