I walk into my house and see Adelaide sitting on the couch with her legs propped up on the table. She has her arm around our newest addition Ivy. 3 years old. Looks exactly like Ade and acts like her too.

As soon as I drop my stuff on the floor with a large dub. The two most important people in my life look towards me. Ivy runs to me and I pick her up to hug her. She screams and tries to get away as I tickle her getting giggles out of her.

Ade walks over to and stands in front of with a smile on her face. She leans in and kisses me, getting an ew from Ivy. This is my life now. We went through the hard work of piecing our lives back together even after all the trauma we went through.

Ade still continues to go to therapy to deal with her own trauma and loss and sometimes I join her. We have open communication and trust each other again. It took a long while but we got exactly where we were supposed to be.

Jack and disappeared after Elle told him to go. I haven't seen him since. Ella also disappeared. I hoped that one day we would reconnect but I know that is not possible. She tried to kill Ade, her best friend and for what?

Ade's parents are still worried about if Ade is making the right decision being with me. They understand she is an adult and that she can make an old choices. Sometimes I can see they them trying to analyze our relationship when we're with them.

Ade left the publishing house and went back to college to get her degree in law. Now she's in her first year law school. I couldn't be prouder. I look at the family I made and I think about how lucky I am Ade gave me a chance to fix it. Things could have ended so differently. I'm am so thankful.

"Daddy can we have ice cream for dinner?" Ivy asks.

"Whatever you want, princess," I reply. Ade scrowls, but how could you say no to this cute face.

"Yay" she screams as I put her down on her legs. She goes running right back to the couch and turns on the television.

I walk over and wrap my hands around her waist to pull her in. She wraps her arms around my neck. I lean in and leave a peck her lips.

"Ice cream for dinner huh?" She questions.

"How can you say no to that face?" I replied back. She laughs because she knows I'm right. She has me wrapped around her little finger.

"I love you Carter,"

"I love you too, Ade,"
