letter rain with bell chimes,
metal hammers, dust memory,
the typewriter lived and lived,
like a word skeleton sealed with a carbon kiss
clacking sounds, hammer songs,
keys implored: please don't let it go.
ribbon breath, mechanical hearts,
finger echo, and the forgotten strike marks.
carriage return, ghost imprints,
platen rolls and metal murmurs,
letter sparks and key hunger,
keys implored: please don't let it go.
thought click, return swing,
word forge between silent space,
steel rhythm, beneath ribbon trail,
paper cradle, key rattles
with an iron pulse, and ink teeth,
keys implored: please don't , let it go.
oops, a mistake, a seemingly ignorable comma,
but on a typewriter, mistakes become history, not ghosts to kill.
