Chapter 30:Even the truth is a lie

Kiyotaka has gone through much learning since enrolling in ANHS. At the beggining much of the speech clash that teenagers of his generation refer as to shit talking was an alien concept to him.

That is a skill he had developed through this time of his. He can talk back to his fellow teenagers now, also known to his generation as banter.

Which he did when confronted to Alice's mocking acting. But by the looks of it, his banter wasn't well recieved by the other party.

And by the way Alice was gripping her cane right now...She probably has some less than peacefull thoughts about her actions once they get out if here.

He turned hos head towarss his girlfriend. Kei shook her head.

Kei:It's too late to back out now.

Kiyotaka:So I thought...

Well, he'll deal with it when the time comes. It's not like combating violent actions to his person was anything new.

Speaking of which, violent actions are the very subject that they follow right now. With that in mind, Kiyotaka turned his head back to the screen.

Annoying. Ryuen decided that this situation was very annoying.

At first, it seemed like a rather easy plan. To surround Rokonosuke and make it clear whenever he's X, the person who moved things along behind the shadows, or not.

It was an easy plan. But, of course, things can't be so convenient.

A group of Class D showed up. Somehow, they caught wind of what was happening.

Most of those guys aren't such a thing to worry about. But, somehow Suzune got the idea of getting Kumagawa involved.

And sharp words didn't work on that guy. Kumagawa might be even better at taunting than Ryuen himself.

Suzune:That is true.

Ken:For a guy that looks all friendly, Kumagawa always has something to say that'd make you pop a vein.

Suzune:Right, Ryuen-kun looks more like a preschooler by comparasion.

Ken:Couldn't take the ball when it's being thrown back at him.

Ryuen clentched his fist. They weren't exactly wrong, but they had some gall to talk about him like he wasn't here.

Especially that red haired dog. He's gonna hunt him down once they're out of here.

Zenkichi:That's not really the case.

Ryuen's head shot up. A smirk played on his lips.

Ryuen:Hoh?

Zenkichi:What you do is taunting. What Kumagawa-senpai does is ragebaiting.

Kiyotaka:What's the difference.

Zenkichi:Ryuen-san uses his words to provoke people, as to gain an advantage. Kumagawa-senpai doesn't have a real reason for it, he just likes annoying people.

Kiyotaka:Ah...

And not only that, but Arisu also had to show up. Although she said she'd only watch.

Rokonosuke:I don't mind that our audience has increased, but isn't it about time we wrap this up? If that's all, I'll be going.

Rokonosuke is in what most would think of as a dire situation. But he ignored it with his usual pride.

Daichi:Hold on, Koenji! Ryuen-san said not to let you go.
