Rehearsal went after school, I continued to watch my other schoolmates perform. Next up was Jack and Jack, performing there song flights.
"Good luck honey!" I turn to see Sheila giving Jack J a kiss in the cheek before he hops on stage. I frown at her and look back at the stage.
My stomach growls, begging for food. I look at my phone to see the time, 7:27.
My stomach growls again. I did miss supper, I better eat something...
I stand up and exit the gym. In the hallway there is a vending machine and at the vending machine was Sheila. Great...
I casually walk over with a blank face. I pull out a few loonies and wait behind Sheila as she buys a veggie bag.
When she turns around she finally spots me.
"Oh Cadence, just the person I wanted to see!" She fake smiles.
I had to choose if I wanted to play along with her act, or not. Sadly I did.
"Oh really?" I fake smile back, trying to seem happy.
"Ya really, we need to have a heart to heart chat," she beams
Yay...
"How's Shawn been?" She asks me, "did his brain damage ruin his kissing skill?"
"He's fine- wait what?" I widen my eyes.
"It's okay, your secrets safe with me, I won't tell your second boyfriend, Matt," she smirks.
That's it!
"More like your second boyfriend," I spat, "you were the one all over him last weekend, not me." I stare her down, "Not to mention in front of your real boyfriend."
"Oh silly," her sly tone gave me goosebumps, "only to annoy you."
I glare at her.
"So I'm confused which of the boys do you like?" This comment confused me.
"Matthew?"
My stomach churns.
"Cameron?"
I grit my teeth, refraining from lashing out at her.
"Shawn?"
"Shut up Sheila it's my turn to talk," I snap, she smirks even more, If that's even possible.
"Number one, you don't know what happened between me and those boys, two, you better stop flirting with other boys and start treating Jack the way he deserves to be treated and three, stay away from Shawn and I," I start walking away.
"I know what happened Cadence," I turn and look at her, "every single detail." She walks away and I sigh.
I start walking towards the gym with a frown on my face.
"Cadence it's your turn to rehearse," Grace calls as soon as I enter the gym.
"Okay," I say and grab my guitar, which was leaning against the wall. I walk onto the stage, my grip tight on my guitar.
I sit on a stool and mentally prepare myself. I start to play the beginning of my song, scanning the crowd. No one too important stood out.
The song I chose was Photograph by Ed Sheeran. I sing the lyrics and strum my guitar, staring into space. During the whole song my min began to ponder
How does Sheila know? How does she know what happened between me, Cam, Matt and Shawn? How does she know about the kiss?
