Gently closing the door behind her, the short, pink-haired girl who rarely let her hands emerge from her jacket had the one she had just used quickly retreat back inside the pocket it preferred being hidden away in. Typically, she just used her foot to close a door, but given this was the owner of the Mansion's very own door, the small spirit felt it would be disrespectful to do so. —At least, right in front of him, that was.
Frederica: Ah, Algol-sama, is YN-sama not with you?
With a shake of her head, half her face concealed by her jacket's tall collar, the answer was apparent.
Petra: It's a bit too early in the morning to expect him to be up yet...
Frederica: Is it not concerning to either of you that he is this tardy?
Ram: To be fair, Ram had not the chance to inform him yet of Roswaal-sama's summonings. We were only informed of this during breakfast.
Frederica: That is correct, but only if he were awake for breakfast... That should be expected of him.
Behind his desk, all the maids here in his office looked at their employer to see his input, given he now readjusted how he sat with Algol joining the three that had already arrived. His hands folding as his elbows rested on the table, Roswaal finally spoke.
Roswaal: It is understandable. Tis truly a hard task to wake up so early in the morning given his current state still.
While Petra and Frederica both cast their gazes downward, and Ram simply looked away as she held her own arm, all unable to say anything in reply to those words, for they all knew YN was only this way with Rem not in his life.
Roswaal: So long as he keeps up his current embetterment and expected duties, it makes little diiiiiifference to me.
Each of them could see just how attached he was to the sleeping girl, and could recall what they'd been told by either Otto or Subaru in regards to how YN had been so distraught when he had first learned of what the Witch Cult had taken from him. Given they worked to support a Candidate that was greatly disliked by the Witch Cult, the sympathy she in turn extended to YN permeated throughout the whole Camp.
Roswaal: I'm sure Algol-chaaaaaan would have no problem filling our dear YN-kun in later though, correct?
Lowering her head, Algol confirmed this, yet still offered a reply.
Algol: In my own opinion, it is not as informative, nor as worthwhile to relay your words to Aniki. Please, do not take my misgivings here as a complaint to your request, simply; it shouldn't be this way.
It was always somewhat jarring to hear Algol speak this way. The "say-what-she-wants" attitude she normally sported left many forgetting she could be as formal as she needed to be, when times called upon it. While this definitely earned her respect from the likes of Frederica and Ram, who definitely knew such a thing was a skill to have in their line of work, to Petra, she couldn't understand why Algol would bother, especially in regard to Roswaal.
To YN though, he almost didn't notice unless both extremes of her personality were shown in short succession right before him. Algol could smugly make a retort to the likes of Garfiel, Otto, or Subaru, and then formally address Beatrice or Roswaal and he'd never bat an eye. In truth, the only other person YN knew that was capable of such a feat was Rem. The blue-haired oni could be whimsically interested in something, or as cute as she normally was, and then suddenly become a professional maid of the highest standards in the blink of an eye.
