"Russian roulette is not the same without a gun"
LAS VEGAS WAS A GLITTERING KINGDOM OF TEMPESTUOUS DELIGHT,
one hidden away amongst the rolling umber dunes of the Mojave Desert and dark twilight skies. A town of gilded insincerities it was, one that promised heavenly delight to all those who flocked to its shimmering metropolis of luminescent stage lights, bright show girl smiles, and echoing grantee of magnanimous fortunes yet to be won; but only in the end serve to establish the devilish roots of corruption and plant the toxic seed of desperation in those unfortunate to be caught in the city's magnetic magnetic pull. Center to it all and located on the infamous stretch of land known as the Strip was none other than Caesar's Palace. A grand casino that in its design was meant to echo the bygone prestige and opulent beauty of Ancient Rome during the height of its power with marble statues, floors, gold filigree, and hand-painted ceilings all to invoke such sumptuous feelings of grander; thus it came as no surprise to anyone that when searching for a place to house such a monumental social event like that as the Apogee Awards that the world famous casino had been chosen to house it and those attending.
'Only the best for the tychoons of Industrialized Military Complex'
Maggie Stark just happened to be one of these rare and privileged few as she stood in what was undoubtedly her very expensive hotel suit that she had been given for the night and half a day that they were going to be spending in Las Vegas for the Award Ceremony. Dark, critical eyes trailed over the vast space with a begrudging sense of appreciation as she took in the fine crown molding, sleek and modern appliances that seemed more fitting for an apartment in the upper west side than a simple hotel room in Vegas, a balcony view that showed off the wonders of the hotel's landscaping and luxurious pool, and not to mention the unlimited room service that was being covered so graciously by Tony's black card, were all at her disposal. Though, sadly for Maggie, she wouldn't really have enough time to truly enjoy such luxurious and free amenities as the Award Ceremony was to commence in thirty minutes and she still wasn't done getting dressed.
