When I woke up the next day, I realized that this was actually real. That I was getting married to Frankie and I was going to become Mrs. Frankie Johnsen. Man that sounded weird to say. Then I realized that today was Sunday. I had homework to do and had to figure out a way for us to get along slowly so people don’t think something weird is up.

“What are you thinking about?” Frankie asked as he put his arms around my waist.

“Oh just trying to figure out how to get us talking again slowly so people don’t think something weird is going on.”

“Hmm well why don’t we start in the classes that we have together?”

“Good idea. Well I have homework to do so I will see you in a little bit.”

He nodded and walked out of the room. I grabbed my school bag and took out my English homework. I had an essay to write and it was only the first week of school. Oh well better to get it out of the way now than later in the trimester.

*2.5 hours later*

My stomach growling brought me out of my funk. I had been at this essay for two and a half hours and I was almost finally finished with it.

“Shut up stomach. I need to finish this essay first.”

It growled in response. I quickly finished the end of my essay and walked out into the living room. I saw Frankie with his friends watching some weird movie on TV.  Frankie saw me as I was walking into the kitchen. I decided on a ham and cheese sandwich.

“Hey. How is your homework going?”

“Finally finished, my stomach made me finish. Do you want something?”

“Nah, the guys and I had pizza just a little bit ago.”

“Oh so I take it you told them?”

He nodded as two voices were brought to my attention.  The two guys that were sitting in the living room walked into the kitchen. They stared at me and their mouths dropped. I figured I looked like shit but I really didn’t care. I had had a huge last couple of days.

“Dude is this her?”

“Yes and her name is Ellie.”

“Nice to meet you Ellie, I’m Dusty and this is…”

“Mitchell, yes we have all ready met,” I said.

“Wait you guys know each other? How? What? Dude, Mitchell why didn’t you tell me you knew her?”

“Umm well we became friend’s freshman year through one of the classes we had together. I didn’t tell you because at the time you hated her.”

“Oh I see your point.”

“Oh and you guys can meet my best friend Torie tomorrow at school. I think you guys will like her; she is kind of exactly like me. Now if you will excuse me, my stomach is growling nonstop. See you guys in the morning.”

With that I headed off to our bedroom. I ate my sandwich and then took a shower and changed into some new clothes. I felt really refreshed and ready for bed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day only because a) its Monday and b) Torie finds out I’m engaged and whom I’m engaged too.

*next morning*

“Babe, you have to get up now. We have to go to school.”

“Ugg do we have too?”

“Yes now get up and get ready.”

I rolled out of bed and into the closet. I sleepily pulled on some light blue skinny jeans, white tank top, and my white and blue converse. I quickly brushed my hair, teeth, and put on my makeup.

“Can we get coffee on the way to school? I need something to wake me up.”

He just nodded and we went out to his car. I got in and was ready for the day to be over with all ready. I knew how Torie was going to semi react but truthfully I really didn’t know. We got my coffee and made it to the school five minutes later.

“Meet me at my locker in about ten minutes okay?”

“All right,” he said kissing my cheek.

I headed into the school and walked to my locker. Not even thirty seconds later, Torie was at my locker.

“Why the hell didn’t you call me all weekend?”

“Umm I was kind of busy. And I have something to tell you.”

“What? Oh god you are not moving are you?”

“No I am not moving that I know of. Umm now promise to keep your voice down.”

“I promise. Now spill.”

“I’m engaged to be married.”

“Oh my god. You are kidding right? Wait to whom? Someone we know?”

“No I am not kidding. Yes it is someone we know.”

“Oh my gosh, who? Tell me?”

“Umm that would be me,” Frankie answered.

Torie turned around at the voice, saw Frankie and his friends standing there, turned back to me and pointed behind her. I just nodded. Knowing what was coming next…

“Oh my gosh this is sooooooo exciting. See I told you that you guys would be together. I knew it, I knew it, and I knew it. Ha ha ha!”

Thankfully the bell rang and we headed off to our classes.
