When the realization that I loved Frankie hit me, I must say I was surprised. I mean I knew I felt something for him, I always had. I also couldn’t believe I was getting married to him. I hadn’t told anyone yet. Torie was going to freak out.
“Frankie, have you told anyone you were getting engaged?”
“No, I wanted to see who I was marrying first.”
“Oh okay. Umm what are we going to do? Everyone thinks we hate one another.”
“Oh, good point. Well let’s just tell them we worked out our differences.”
I nodded. Finally, we reached the restaurant. I was starving. Frankie got out and came to open my door (aww, how sweet). We walked hand in hand to where our parents were standing.
“Hello children,” my mother said.
“Hello,” we said together.
“Shall we eat?”
No, I thought since we drove for twenty minutes, we could just stand outside and smell the food *sarcasm*
“Yes, please.”
We walked inside and to the seating host.
“Johnsen, party of six.”
“Hmm, right this way sir.”
We all got seated and looked at the menus. I saw immediately what I was going to get. Fettuccine alfredo with chicken *yummy*. Once everyone had ordered drinks and meals, I thought it best to ask about the apartment.
“Umm, I am curious about something.”
“Yes dear, what is it?”
“I was just curious about the apartment. I know by the time we are done here, it will be too late to move.”
“Yes of course. Seeing as it is Friday, you will just stay in a hotel until tomorrow. Then we can start moving your stuff. It is a wonderful place,” Frank said.
“Tell us about the apartment please,” Frankie asked.
“Well,” my father answered. “It is called Cherrywood Plaza. You have a spacious two bedroom, one bath. A great balcony, plus it comes with all the appliances. All we need to do is move your stuff and go grocery shopping.”
Hmm it sounded like a real nice place. I looked over at Frankie, who looked nervous.
“Don’t worry I know how to cook somewhat.”
He just nodded looking relieved. Once our food came, the conversations were very little. After about an hour and a half, we head towards the hotel. Mr. Johnsen got us checked in.
“All right kids, we will see you tomorrow morning around ten. Please be ready.”
We nodded and headed up to our room to hopefully get a good night rest…ha ha yeah right.
