Frankie and I walked into the school and headed our separate ways to get to our lockers. I open my locker after fighting with the lock combination. Damn, locks. A piece of paper fluttered out. I picked it up and stuffed it in my pocket. I grabbed my books and ran towards class. I made it right before the teacher, man I am getting good at that. The teacher came in lecturing and I decided I would read that note.
Bitch a.k.a Ellie,
I want you to stay away from Frankie. Frankie is mine. Mine, do you hear. I had him before you ever did, and then you think you can just sweep him up and away from me? I don’t think so. So I suggest you keep away from him otherwise you will suffer the serious consequences.
Amy
Was Amy just threatening me? What could she do to me? I honestly had no idea but I was not going to let it bother me. Hmm, maybe I should talk to Torie and see what she has to say. I decided to text her.
Hey Torie! Guess what I got today?
Hey! I have no idea what?
A threatening letter from Amy
You’re kidding me? What did she say?
No I’m not kidding. She told me to stay away from Frankie or I will suffer the serious consequences
Oh yeah that’s original. What can she do to you?
I really have no idea so I am not taking it seriously. If she does try to pull something, we will just be ready to fight back
Of course. Well have to go getting eyed by the teacher. Bye
Bye
First period ended, so did second, and then third. I was heading back to my locker when I noticed there was something or should I say someone leaning against my locker.
“What do you want Amy?”
“Oh I was just seeing if you got my letter.”
“Yes, I did but I am not leaving Frankie.”
She got this shocked look on her face. Then it turned into an evil grin.
“Well I will let you have the weekend to think about it. See you Monday.”
With that she walked away. God, she annoys me sooooooo much. Ugg, whatever, I will not let her ruin my weekend. I’m sure my mother can do that.
I headed into fourth period and sat in the back corner. I just doodled the whole period not even listening to a thing the teacher was saying. I really couldn’t get over that letter from Amy. I knew she was determined to get Frankie but I was going to put up a fight. Ugg, I am dwelling on this too much. I need to think about something else. I think Frankie and I should have another get together this weekend so we can talk to everyone and actually hang out. We haven’t done that in a while.
Honey, what do you think about having everyone over this weekend to talk and just hang out?
Sure that sounds cool. How about Saturday afternoon then they can crash at the apartment?
Okay. We will tell them after school today.
Okay
Finally the bell rang. I wiggled my way through the crowd to my locker. I shoved all my homework in and ran towards the parking lot. I saw everyone crowded around the car.
“Hey guys!”
“Hey.” “Hi.” “Howdy.”
I gave Torie a hug and went to stand by Frankie, who immediately put his arm around my shoulder.
“Well, we wanted to invite you guys over tomorrow and then you guys can crash at the apartment.”
“Oh hey guys, I was wondering if I could bring Will. He really wants to get to know you guys more,” Mitch asked.
“Sure why not. More the merrier.”
“So we were thinking maybe around 4-ish you guys could start showing up. Oh if there is anything you want, be sure to bring it,” Frankie said.
They all nodded and said they would see us tomorrow. For the moment, we had to go home and do homework then get ready to meet our parents for dinner…again.
“I will be happy when tonight is over.”
“Yeah me too. I thought they would be more over us by now and have everything shoved down our throats.”
I nodded in agreement. We headed upstairs to the apartment and settled in for homework time.
*1.5 hours later*
“Ellie, are you almost ready? We have to leave shortly.”
I told him it would take me a few minutes to get ready but no, he doesn’t listen to me at all. I shoved my foot into my converse, grabbed my purse, and headed down the hallway.
“Ready or not here we come,” I said laughing.
