When I woke up in the morning, I saw that Frankie was still asleep. Good, I needed to think of how I was going to tell him the news. I slipped into the bathroom and quickly showered. I redressed in the clothes from yesterday and sat back on the bed. About five minutes after I sat down, Frankie rolled over and looked at me.

“How are you feeling this morning?”

“I feel okay.”

“What’s wrong? I can tell that something is bothering you.”

“I…I’m…”

“You’re what?”

“Pregnant.”

He looked at me like he hadn’t heard what he did.

“You’re pregnant? Which means we are having a baby?”

“Yes, we are having a baby.”

“When did you find this out?”

“Yesterday morning.”

“So you have known for a whole twenty four hours and you didn’t tell me a thing?”

“I was afraid of how you were going to react, not to mention the fact that I had to get over the shock of finding out I was pregnant.”

“I guess that makes sense. I can’t believe that I am going to be a father. This is so cool.”

“Wait, you are not mad?”

“Why would I be mad? This is great. Are you going to tell everyone else today?”

I just nodded. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into a hug. He got dressed and we walked downstairs hand in hand. Everyone was all ready at the breakfast table, eating away.

“Oh there you two are. I was about to send someone up to make sure you both were all right.”

“Yes mom, we are fine. Actually I have something to tell everyone.”

“Oh no, you guys aren’t cancelling the wedding are you?”

“No we are not cancelling the wedding. I am pregnant.”

I looked around the room and saw everyone staring at us with their jaws wide open.

“Pregnant? My baby is having a baby?”

“Yes.”

“I can’t believe this. I just can’t believe it,” my father said.

I just stared at the ground. I knew they would be upset but I really didn’t know what to expect. I felt a pair of arms go around me and I looked up to see Frankie looking down at me. There was silence in the entire room before the rest of the gang came up and hugged me. I looked at them and they all looked excited.

“I can’t believe that I am getting a baby niece or nephew,” Torie said.

“Congrats dude, I am happy for you,” Mitch said.

I left them to talk amongst themselves and walked over to my parents.

“Are you upset?”

My mother looked up at me and I could see tears running down her cheeks. My father just kind of stared into space. I waited a few minutes before heading over to my mother and hugging her.

“I am sorry mom. I know this wasn’t something that you expected to hear so soon but this is something that I am going to deal with. I would like you to be there with me and help me through this.”

“Well sweetie, I am not upset. I am just a little surprised but I am happy for you. I am going to be a grandma.”

“Dad, do you have something to say.”

“Well it is shocking to hear that you are pregnant but I am happy for you. Your mother and I will help you in any way we can. I love you very much; you will always be my little girl.”

I walked over and gave my dad a hug. Then I left them to talk and walked back over to Frankie.

“Well what did they say?”

“They are shocked but are very happy for me.”

“Well that’s good to hear. I thought they were going to kill me.”

“Frankie, can I talk to you a moment?” my father asked.

“Yes sir.”

Frankie walked away and Frankie’s parents walked over to me.

“So you are having a baby?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Have you gone to see a doctor yet?”

“No, I just only found out yesterday.”

“Well I can recommend you a doctor if you would like.”

“Oh thank you that would be great. This is new to me so I am going to need some help knowing what to do.”

“Of course dear, I will help you in any way I can. I am glad you are going to be my daughter in law.”

“And I am glad you are going to be my mother in law.”

I embraced her in a hug and then I noticed Frankie was walking over to us.

“So son, you are going to be a father?”

“Yeah dad, I am going to be a dad.”

He pulled him into a hug and then pulled away.

“Well if I can have everyone’s attention, I have an announcement to make.”

We all turned towards Frankie’s parents and that’s when I noticed that they were holding hands. I looked at Frankie and then looked back at them.

“I would like to announce that Patty and I are going to give our relationship another chance.”

My jaw dropped and I turned towards Frankie. He stood there stone faced.

Frankie POV

“Well if I can have everyone’s attention, I have an announcement to make.”

I turned towards my parents and saw that they were holding hands. I couldn’t believe this, they were holding hands. How could they do this to me? They divorced when I was young and put me through hell then and now what? I could feel that Ellie was looking at me but all I did was stare at my parents.

“I would like to announce that Patty and I are going to give our relationship another chance.”

I felt Ellie’s eyes on me again but all I could do was stare wide eyed at my parents. I really didn’t know what to think. I did all that I could do, I walked right out the room and right out of the house.
