I couldn’t believe that today we are being forced back into the horrid school, only six more months until I am outta there. <Insert happy dance here>

“Are you almost ready to go?” Frankie asked.

“As ready as I will ever be.”

We got into the car and drove towards the school. I couldn’t wait to see everyone and what classes I had. We met up with everyone by the tree and walked into the gym, where the schedules were. I had first with Will, second with Dusty and Mitch, third with Torie, lunch with everyone again, and fourth with Frankie. Funny how the scheduling works.

“Well Will are you ready to go?”

“Yes ma’am.”

Everyone said their goodbyes and ran off towards their first class. When we got to our room, we sat next to each other and listened to the cheerleaders blab about nothing. The teacher walked into the room and the whole room fell into silence. Oh great.

*two days later*

Everything was going smoothly until Thursday morning during first class. I caught one of the blonde cheerleaders staring at me.

“What the hell are you staring at?”

“Is that an engagement ring on your finger?”

Of course she said it just loud enough so everyone in the room could hear it. They all turned and looked to where she was pointing.

“Yes it is. Why do you care?”

“The only reason you are engaged is probably because you are pregnant and the guy was forced to marry you.”

The whole class started laughing and I was starting to get very angry. I think Will sensed it because he came to the rescue before I could bash her face in.

“Shut up Stephanie. You have no idea what you are talking about and the only reason you are picking on her is because you are jealous.”

“Jealous? Yeah right.”

“Well I think you are so just turn around and shut up.”

She sat there with her mouth open until the teacher came in. She kept glaring at me the whole class period. I knew something bad was going to come of it, what though I wasn’t sure. Finally class was over and I was off to the next class. By the time it came to third, I think Stephanie had told a few people because I was either getting stared at or people were asking to see my ring.

When lunch time came around, I think the whole school knew. I was being stared at like crazy. People were whispering and looking at me or my stomach. I wasn’t the only one getting looks though. Frankie was, as well as everyone else. Near the end of lunch, I really couldn’t take it anymore. It had only been one day and I was severely pissed off. I decided I would make a little announcement tomorrow at lunch. The rest of the day went slowly, with lots of stares and whispering.

*the next day*

I had told everyone that morning that I was going to make an announcement at lunch. They all kind of looked at me funny but didn’t say anything. Finally it was lunch time and I was ready to make my announcement. I stood up on the table and cupped my hands around my mouth.

“Can I have everyone’s attention please?”

Nobody really stopped what they were doing so I tried again.

“Can I have everyone’s attention please?” I yelled.

Everyone stopped and looked at me.

“I am going to set the record straight here and now. What I tell you is the truth. I am engaged. I am not engaged because I am pregnant and the guy was forced to propose. I am getting married to the man I love. He proposed because he loves me and wants to be with me forever. I know who started these rumors and they started because she refused to believe the truth. She is jealous and has nothing better to do with her time than make up stupid rumors. Now you know the truth, take from it what you will.”

With that I sat back down and ate my lunch. Everyone had gone back to what they were doing.  A few moments later, I felt a tap on my shoulders. I turned around and none other than Stephanie stood right before me.

“Nice speech you did there.”

“Yeah well I figured everyone should know the truth.”

“Well I came to tell you that you were wrong about me. I am not jealous.”

“Oh yes, yes you are. You are jealous because your boyfriend won’t do the same thing. Well to let you know, he isn’t even faithful to you. Do you see him in this room right now?”

She looked around real quick and shook her head.

“Well that’s because he is probably in the janitor’s closet with some girl.”

“You lie. He loves me.”

“Right, if he loved you he would be here with you. Seeing as he is not, I say janitor’s closet. If you don’t believe me, go check for yourself.”

She huffed out of the room, her follower’s right behind her. The day continued on without any stares or whispering when I walked passed someone.
